Update 21/10/24 Will require the config file to be regenerated to show the new values
Rusted Droid 28 Dec, 2022 @ 9:08pm
WeaponR is for block based ones i see.
Thank you

I am trying to make hand guns uselles towards some blocks especialy heavy armor, so player cannot cheat with destroy door block by pistol and 20 rounds.

Do you plan do this reduction also for voxel? (planet)?
I not think SE allow you to specify what voxel material can be more resistive (rock / sand)
I find that some mod explosives do huge holes like crazy, bend armor like crazy.
Grenade mod is nice but sometimes generate way too big holes.

WeaponR is the resistance of weapon blocks, like turrets ect
this mod doesn't differentiate damage sources so will apply a flat reduction to all heavy armour with the LG and SG heavy numbers

WeaponR is for block based ones or hand held?
I will like to make H-Armor almost immune/ not bending to hand weapons.

Ah that makes a lot more sense. Thank you
Frosty  [author] 14 Jun, 2022 @ 7:00pm
the default values are just semi random and i don't recommend using them (why i made it configurable, and yes the wheel option only does the wheel suspensions this is intentional
This mod designed just to modify the blocks most commonly found on the outside of grids, if you want to make refinery armour less viable turn up the damage resistance of regular armour to make it more viable than refineries
Rooster 14 Jun, 2022 @ 1:25pm
The wheel option only functions with suspensions and wheels spawned by suspensions. The standalone wheels are not affected.

LGHeavy = 0.7f
LGLight = 0.65f

Are these reversed in the WS Description? seems like it should be the other way around

If there isn't a convenient way to add complete customization on a per-block basis, the main categories I would like to be able to adjust for are Gas Tanks, Cargo Containers, and Windows.

Is it possible with this mod to also change the damage values of non-armor blocks as well? It would be nice to have a way to make hydrogen tanks weaker so that they can chain-react, and to make refinery-armor less viable.

With the update that just went live, You will need to delete your existing config file and add your changes to the new one
Morghdred 17 Mar, 2022 @ 12:53am
Ya totally understandable, thanks for your great work again!
Harukonea 16 Mar, 2022 @ 6:43pm
Thanks for the reply.
Please continue to add other blocks that you agree with.
Frosty  [author] 16 Mar, 2022 @ 4:55pm
Settings for each cube size as a whole Wont be added,
Blast doors are not currently changed by this mod but I might add them soon, also i cant give blocks resistance to certain types of damage just resistance as a whole
Morghdred 16 Mar, 2022 @ 1:21am
Great work Frosty, a curious question, where does Blast Door count toward? Is it light armor or heavy armor? Is it also potentially possible to have blast door more resistant to explosion damage (if it is even possible)
Harukonea 15 Mar, 2022 @ 5:48am
Nice to meet you Frosty.
Great mod. Expanded Settings 2275037102 that I normally use did not allow for large and small settings respectively.
I personally would like to be able to set the settings for each cube size as a whole.
Small grid blocks should be hard and large grid blocks should be standard, so that even small ships can have a decent fight with large ships.
Thanks.

Thanks for the Cool mod frosty its a great alternative to AQD combat balance and other damage mitigation methods such as shields.
SoulDoubt 2 Mar, 2022 @ 9:50am
Awesome, thanks. :steamthumbsup:
Frosty  [author] 1 Mar, 2022 @ 4:51pm
Yeah, 1 is baseline 0.5 would be half damage received and 2 would be double damage
SoulDoubt 1 Mar, 2022 @ 11:19am
This looks mighty useful. (Personally, I don't want to mess with Configurable Parameters, so this mod suits me fine.) Would the vanilla-equivalent values for these be 1.0? I'm curious what the "baseline" is, e.g. does a value of 0.5 mean the block takes half as much damage as it would in vanilla SE?
Frosty  [author] 1 Mar, 2022 @ 2:01am
I made this mod because i wanted too? plus this mod does a few things "configurable parameters" doesn't do like, give 4 separate damage reduction numbers for each type of armour not just light/heavy but also small/large
Abisius Xarvenius Carbensius 28 Feb, 2022 @ 11:47pm
@Frosty
is it allowed to ask what made you decide to make this mod?
wouldnt it be easier to use an existing mod to alter the stuff (for example "configurable parameters")?
[RTB] Sarianos 28 Feb, 2022 @ 6:59pm
Well if that ain't blood amazing, cheers for the neat work.
Frosty  [author] 28 Feb, 2022 @ 4:02pm
Any block with Armour in the subtype ID, will get the light armour damage reduction and if it has heavy in the name as well it will get the heavy damage reduction
[RTB] Sarianos 28 Feb, 2022 @ 8:11am
@Frosty I'm assuming these changes only apply to vanilla armour blocks?
