I am aware, it can also take meshes and convert them directly into level geometry, which is useful.

about s2, it uses planes instead of brushes, so a converter is possible :P

Ah, shame. I found a piece of software that can convert doom maps to brushes and I am looking for people who might have used it before, which is why I asked.

As for the s2 thing, I can only imagine that working if you convert the linework to a 3d model first.

had to recreate the brushwork because you can't just port doom geometry to source :P
but yes, i had map01 open in doombuilder and i basically just recreated it

also, fun fact: you probably can port doom linework to source 2 but there is no software for that yet

@george Используй gmDoom для врагов и оружия. Расставь врагов по карте с выключенным ИИ, потом выдай себе пистолет и кулак, включи ИИ и играй.

@Darkness I think it should be possible:
Take the original texture, remove the background color, save it as a transparent png, convert that file into Gmod ‒ for example, with VTFEdit ‒, change the fence's texture to the newly converted texture. Yes, the fence is "solid", but it should be appear as see-trough ‒ I mean, what happens when you set a see-trough texture onto a solid's side? When a player standing beside it, only one side texture and the top texture should be visible, while the player can see trough the transparent parts of the side texture. Right? 🤔
And what about the floors? When I move, most floors are producing loud metal noises, which is not pleasant at all. 🔊 Can you change the floor's physical property to something quieter?

@Darkness I suggest to make the "fence" see-trough at behind the start point. I mean, please replace the texture's original background color with transparency. I know you can do it somehow. 😉
Also, can you modify the floors to not be metal? It produces loud metal noises when I move on it! :steamfacepalm:
Anyway, good work, bro, even the doors and switches are fully working! 😊

No. It isn't possible I think. Doom map format is too different from Source's. And btw, it's okay.
