I followed everything in the linked YT video 1:1. But seems like if I start a map with my friends already in the lobby, the 5th - 8th characters wouldn't spawn in and kick the rest/stuck in loading. and If I started the game lobby alone , all 8 character are spawned but some of my friends couldnt join and stuck in loading while the rest could join without a problem. Anyway to solve this either one of these unknown error?

for some reason a random player in my 6 player game gets disconnected every after 5 mins or so with the error no steam logon

You need another player to go idle...

I tried both of commands and Vocalizer and not worked...
It's same if I'm in singleplayer.

you can even bind a key to the AFK command for convenience
example: bind L go_away_from_keyboard

it's because the lobby with 8 slots was made for Versus only but you can still go afk with ion's Vocalizer or by using the console command: go_away_from_keyboard

It's probably because both mods modifies gamemodes.txt

Never played in LAN so I have no idea, check if it works at least online.
If it doesn't work, check the installed files and don't forget -insecure launch command

Hi, I installed Sourcemod and Metamod as described in the youtube video, then added this mod. Just tried to play campaign and survivor with 6 friends on a LAN party. We all see the 8 player lobby and all can join the lobby. Once I start the game, only 4 start the map, the other 2 are kicked out during the loading screen with the message "server full" (or something similar). Only I as host have installed the 8 player lobby mod, Sourcemod and Metamod. Any chance you know how to fix this? :)

@Nexedail after the some shenanigans with csm and chatacter manager abm stopped givin me 8 players in game(tho it is says 8 humans in console)

abm does multiple things, what exactly isn't working about it?

To be able to play with spawning 7+ bots, all u need to do is change l4d_multislots_max_survivors to "8" and l4d_multislots_spawn_survivors_roundstart to "1"

The mod works with any campaign, to start with already 8 survivors instead of 4, you must mess with sourcemod's plugins cfgs
