That being said, if there's significant support for this change, I can look at implementing it!
People I tested this with preferred having the music in both ears rather than having it short ranged. Maintaining a separate version of the mod with directional sounds would of course be possible, but it's a solution I'd rather avoid.
I hope this at least clarifies why things work the way they do. Frankly the best solution would be if the devs of Barotrauma just updated the game to better support stereo sounds - but I doubt that's gonna happen :D
