The way it works (you can test without mod, plain game), is that Klei bindings actually depends on having the 'Base Build Menu', 'Oxygen Build Menu', 'Power Build Menu' bound in that order.
So if you bind them to 1,2,3,4, etc, the tool will work in that order, if you do, A,B,C,D,E, or F1, F2, etc, it will also work in that order...if you unbind them all, they won't work at all.
simple, good mod, that makes the unmodded design looks dumb.
This function exists in original game, and open for mop and clean tools, so it is easy to also open for other tools. But build tool is special, exist function is not for build tool at all. It need to implement or modify (if I can).
However this mod saves a keypress.
