I've already added two slots for the new trainer jet (on 25th March) so you should see them as options in all missions.
An enemy carrier and some support ships are passing by the island. The carrier will launch a fighter when a player approaches the flotilla. When the fighter has < 50% health, another fighter will launch. When the second fighter has < 50% health, a third will launch. Similarly, a fourth. The enemy fighters do not have radar guided AA missiles (heat seeking only). The flotilla has only gunboats for defence. Fighters can be targeted while on the carrier deck.
I was a bit worried that a couple of them are perhaps not so easy (I know exactly where the anti-aircraft gun is because I put it there! - but others might struggle to find and destroy it). Those missions are "easy" so long as pilots keep their distance until going in for the attack.
Originally I created these missions so I could play with my brother without us regularly getting shot down. I will create some more when I get the time.
They are perfect for a quick play alone or with a friend.
Then in multiplayer, host a game - in the missions list you should see the missions (in "Steam Workshop Campaigns").
Hope you get it working :)
2. Intercept the Patrol: both enemy aircraft take off from their carrier at the start of the game (a bit pointless - as the player isn't there to see them) and reach the island as I'm getting airborne.
7. Enemy Raid on Depot: I tried this twice - once I let them destroy the depot before taking them out, then on the second try I engaged them as quickly as I could. Sometimes the depot's anti-air defences take out an enemy plane (or two). There are five in total.
Perhaps the issues you are seeing are due to having active mods or being subscribed to the beta branch? Could the missions be old versions? When updating missions, I unsubscribe, exit the game, restart the game, subscribe - then I can be sure I've got the latest version.
2 - The fighters don't take off from the carrier. 7 - The raiders seem to die a few minutes into the mission, not sure why, but it procs the `mission success` flow. I didn't try 8-10 so can't comment past that but thought I'd mention it in case you were still looking to keep this updated. Thanks, either way, for the helpful missions to ease into!
A reconnaissance F-45A is returning to base with vital data. It must be escorted safely back to our base. The enemy fighters have short range air-to-air missiles only. They will mostly target the F-45A. The base has anti-air defences which will shield the returning recon flight. This is a little difficult for a single player, but should be easier with two or more players.
An AV-42C has been shot down in a city. The crew are surrounded and need immediate EVAC. This mission is tricky as it involves a vertical landing under small arms fire. The MANPAD infantry in the harbour should be taken out first. One of the tanks in the harbour has a line of sight in between buildings to the crash site and should also be eliminated. When a player is within 250m of the pickup point, three enemy infantry will move closer to the crash site. If these can be taken out then the extraction will be safer.
The enemy have a bridgehead on the far side of the island and several tanks are advancing at speed. Our ground forces are positioned to intercept but are outnumbered. Provide support to our tanks, halt the advancing armour and then eliminate the bridgehead. An enemy tank will drive through a tunnel to our base if unchecked.
I'll continue to add missions when I get the time.
Thanks :)
Five fighter-bombers are approaching our depot, which is located on the small island. They are at low altitude and will attack various ground installations and units. The depot's heavy anti-air defences are offline.
Artillery on the far side of the island are firing at our base. This will continue for the duration of the mission and cause much damage. Enemy ground units have advanced inland. The artillery is defended by an anti-aircraft gun which should be eliminated first. There is a MANPADS infantry on top of a hill en-route to the target, so an indirect route might be better. There's another one on the coast, so be careful. Two of the enemy vehicles are in a canyon, which makes for an interesting attack run. The cruiser off the bay and an APC in the canyon are set not to attack enemies (otherwise the mission would be too hard).
Seek out and destroy the enemy special forces team hidden on the island. They have an anti-air gun which should be taken out first. The remainder of the units can then be taken out at leisure. Be careful of the MANPADS infantry.
A bomber is approaching our base with a single fighter escort. This fighter has short and medium range missiles. Unless prevented, the bomber will do several bombing runs on our base causing a lot of damage.
A ground battle in a city is underway. Our forces are at a slight disadvantage and will sustain more losses unless players can tip the balance with close air support. Some of the targets are difficult to hit (especially the infantry) but players can rearm and have as many attempts as they wish.
This mission is a little difficult, but players can re-spawn as many times as they like to take the patrol out. At the start of the mission, the two enemy fighters will power up and take off from their carrier. I have removed their medium range missiles, leaving them with short range missiles only. When both destroyed, players can have a go at attacking the carrier if they wish.
Some ground targets to destroy. They will shoot back with small-arms fire.
Ideal air-to-ground target practice.
