I tested every single area in that map so I'm confident all keys are accessible. Could you remind me where the key is located?

How the hell are you supposed to get to key 3? I have spent 10 minutes in the editor looking for a path and haven't found it.

Yeah that last key was a little mean of me...

I try to toe the line between an experience being waaaaay too easy and downright impossible. What I'm aiming for is that experience when you are just starting to get frustrated after trying so hard and you get that awesome rush of adrenaline when the next piece of the puzzle/level uncovers itself.

I really appreciate your review! It's very rare to get quality feedback on Steam, maybe 1-100 players might post something but it's much rarer to see someone take the time to review and leave feedback, so thank you very much!

Okay, all of the complaints out of the way. The game is actually quiet aesthetic and play experience itself is a lot of fun. The navigation of the map is very well done and all parts of the map add to the atmosphere as well as the story of the game.

The story itself is very nice. Though not entirely original, it is a fun experience, the lore books and dialogue is engaging and helps the player piece together the story.

The final sequence for the true ending also being incredibly novel and is set in a way that keeps the sequence tense for the player who is invested in the story of Vardi.

All in all, it's a great mod. Thanks for making it public.

This awesome gamemode turned out to be a 3 hour endeavor just because of the last key that's hidden in the worst of places.

The most agonizing moment being that I walked by the entrance, looked directly at the opening and thought, yeah, that's just poor stitch work that I see in so many other places as opposed to thinking it's the actual path. If there was even a single hint such as a torch, or something, I would've thought otherwise.

Thank you! I made the ending in a rush, I might go back and make it better someday.

Very cool map. Cool idea with a true ending. I spent about an hour looking for all the keys. It was worth it, despite the fact that the story ended rather quickly and simply. But it was still cool.
Good job, mate

Also congrats for reaching the end! It's a pretty tough achievement to get.

I appreciate your feedback! Very few people bother to leave comments these days. I agree the ending could probably have been a little better. That entire section was made in the last 2 hours before the map jam deadline, so I had very little time to balance it. I think I made the ending dialogue scene in about 10-15 mins. But yeah I might go back to it at some point - you are right, for the level of work it takes to get to that scene, it could be a little more rewarding at the end.

hmm, for the level of frustration you are gonna go through finding that last key and the platforming too the ending was not rewarding at all very inconclusive, beautiful map though
Fason7  [author] 20 Apr, 2022 @ 4:47pm
The true ending is actually another 10-15 mins of gameplay, in fact.

There is a true ending to the mod, and finding all the keys unlocks it. However some of the keys are very very well hidden, especially one key in particular. To find all the keys you will need to explore every nook and cranny of the map, and keep your eyes always on the lookout. I've put a lot of work into making sure that if you can reach some place, you are probably meant to be there, so don't worry about going out of bounds.

What are the keys for and does the fighting yourself bit ever end?
TheGoldShot 17 Apr, 2022 @ 4:51am
im just dumb then lol mb
Fason7  [author] 17 Apr, 2022 @ 1:57am
There are two other ways to get past that area.
If you have found a certain key earlier in the level you can just unlock a specific door and go around the whole thing. Alternatively, it is possible to defeat the two guards with the right strategy. All three methods will bring you to the next checkpoint.

I like it but that little bit of parkour round the outside is frustrating me, especially how the chekcpoint isn't handy, its like a tiny super meat boy bit, not my cuppa
