I have since noticed a stone chunk on the ground in that area. I suppose I have just missed all the previous times, my apologies.
Rever 25 Aug @ 9:46am
Well I don't mean to be retarded then boss, but can I get a clarification on what terrain is dig-able? I have tried searching around but I can't seem to find any relevant info. If that just means stone walls then there's plenty of them around them that they wander by.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 25 Aug @ 6:58am
And rough stone is not diggable
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 25 Aug @ 6:58am
The timer isn't visible
Rever 25 Aug @ 6:40am
I'll second what MochaGreen has said. Everything else is working perfectly except the stonediggers aren't producing anything. They are in an open area inside the mountain that is open to sky for the actual tree itself and they wander on rough stone but they aren't producing anything, nor is their timer visible.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 12 Aug @ 12:31am
Can't help much, as it has always worked fine for me. Diggable terrain, and it's on a timer. That's all there is to it
MochaGreen 11 Aug @ 11:36pm
my awakaned stonedigger does not work. Ive forced it to be on diggable terrain only and ive checked the Animal Behaviours options. Some help?
Bombonito 31 Jul @ 8:58pm
It's so sad that every awakened dryad dies MY BABIES :,O
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 19 Jul @ 5:19am
That would do it yeah XDD
Zipzopdippidybopbop 19 Jul @ 4:02am
Strange - I've had them on such terrain and nothing has happened.

UPDATE - Fixed it; checked the Animal Behaviours options in Mod Options, and for some reason the "Allows Animals Digging for Things Periodically" was unticked.

Sorted now; thanks for the feedback!
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 19 Jul @ 3:55am
It is a tag that is assigned to each terrain. Soils, gravel, sands and ice are diggable
Zipzopdippidybopbop 19 Jul @ 3:54am
Aha; does that mean "normal" soil, or specifically a rock surface (e.g. rough granite, limestone etc.)?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 19 Jul @ 3:52am
They need to be in diggable terrain
Zipzopdippidybopbop 19 Jul @ 3:52am
My stonedigger dryads (both awakened/normal) do not spawn stone chunks or blocks, regardless of time passed/positioning.

Are there any known mod conflicts? All other dryads work fine like...
Heal Bot 10 Jul @ 10:07am
I want to use them like dryads in a twh wood elf style run
Heal Bot 10 Jul @ 10:06am
Is there a way to increase the life span of awakened dryads
Vartarhoz 5 Jun @ 1:25pm
Can we please have option to resize them? Some of them really big.
AllegraLionheart 5 Jun @ 8:53am
Loveeee this mod! <3 I highly recommend getting a mod to increase the amount of Jade resource in traders, though. I CRAVE that mineral, now.

Constructive criticism:
Awakened Carrier dryads are underwhelming. :( They are basically worse Muffalo who occasionally haul stuff around the colony--something you're better off keeping your original 3 Carrier dryads who are still connected to the tree. Awakened Carriers are about 1.5x slower than Muffalo, carry the same amount of pack in a caravan (180), and cannot be ridden as a mount. (And they can't be sheared for wool, ofc).

I would improve them by marking them as a mount, or significantly increasing the amount of weight they can carry. Or both, since you only have about a year with them before they begin to die.

Despite this, every other awakened dryad has been very fun and engaging. My tribal colonies are VERY engaged in their gauranlen trees, now.
TIIKKETMASTER 10 Apr @ 3:44pm
spelling mistake in FAQ; sackle instead of shackle. ctrl + f
Muad'dib 6 Apr @ 11:59am
my tree is super small it seems. Any chance it's because of this mod?
Kaschey 2 Apr @ 2:07pm
@brglock, Read the description of the Awakened Gaubricmaker :)
brglock 2 Apr @ 7:15am
How about a sweeper dryad for cleaning?
intelfir 23 Mar @ 1:44pm
Star traveler, such animal exists but not as dryad. In alpha animals there is animal which is basically a giant slime with a lot of fungi on its back. It can be tamed and sheered to collect fungus. Also as its slimy it can absorb bullets well
Visoth 18 Feb @ 11:33am
The Awakened Barkskins are not absorbing projectiles in a 1 tile radius as it says in the description. Has anyone else had this issue? I'll check to see if I have this issue without any other mods except VE and the requirements.
Star Traveller 10 Feb @ 4:41pm
I wonder if it would be possible to add a dryad similar to the berrymaker that spawns raw fungus? Could even use the same stats for it?
Weed Ingus 10 Feb @ 6:59am
am i suppossed to be able to heal the dryad companions you can summon, im geting a bug log everytime try.
Kaschey 30 Jan @ 3:40pm
Is it possible to add a notification when an awakened dryad is born? I have a lot of animals and people in my colony so it's easy to miss them while they roam somewhere away.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 27 Jan @ 11:40pm
Sure
UltraEmailMan 27 Jan @ 11:17pm
100% agree with that sentiment. I don't use CE and never will, but you may want to update the FAQ section reflect that to avoid confusion, since it currently says it should be patched shortly for CE.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 13 Jan @ 11:01pm
We don't do CE
Weed Ingus 13 Jan @ 7:28pm
still no ammo for ce?
Old Fart 9 Jan @ 5:12pm
Are there any plans to make awakened versions of the Ocular dryads from Alpha Memes?
XelNigma 6 Jan @ 4:53pm
The awakened stonedigger doesnt seem to have any armor unlike the normal version.

And to Twinindifferent. Stonediggers dont mine. They spawn stone chunks, with the awakened version spawning cut stone blocks.
Cant help with the carrier dryad issue, animals have always been very sparatic went hey choose to haul. Thats just vanilla
TwinIndifferent 21 Dec, 2024 @ 8:07pm
For some reason my awakened dryads are entirely useless, if I'm not missing something.
Like Stonedigger dryad does not mine anything, just wanders around and tanks shots from random pirates with sheer amount of armor.
Or carrier dryad stops carrying anything around, though it turns to be trainable to carry stuff and people around. I thought it will do it itself without training.
< blank > 24 Nov, 2024 @ 10:10am
the thorncaster counts as automated weapons, while technically it is, its kinda awkward in nature primacy-tree connection run, hope theres some way to not count them as a automated weapons so that i can keep the precept
Rya 20 Oct, 2024 @ 10:52am
@Stubborn Are you using 'Dryads & Gauranlen Trees Reworked'? That mod changes the pruning mechanic to being upgraded by building shrines
Sarg Bjornson  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 1:28am
This mod doesn't touch anything you mention
wood goblin 17 Oct, 2024 @ 1:21am
Dear mod dev, I have a problem. For some reason "the connection" is fixed on 25% for me and can't be changed. Also grooming task is cancelling over time. And It is impossible to take care of the tree or groom it in any way.
Cectut 20 Sep, 2024 @ 5:22pm
@SILVERIII Select 3 dryads, and press the new button that appears letting you merge them.

You can select multiple objects by 2 means:
Shift+lmb on each object you wish to select
or
Click and drag to create a box, letting you select multiple objects
SILVERIII 20 Sep, 2024 @ 12:45pm
I play this mod so long but still dont know how to upgrade them :(
Chime 17 Sep, 2024 @ 10:04pm
They are not supposed to be plantable. The little elephant boy dies and 1 grows where he died. The other guy must have a mod conflict that is allowing him to plant them.
Potato0 17 Sep, 2024 @ 12:54pm
i dont know why but I cant see the ambrosia palms in the planting zone, I can see other trees though. Am I just dumb and missing something or is a mod conflicting maybe?
Sean 6 Sep, 2024 @ 12:49am
Might be my pawn's plants skill, but those ambrosia palms are insane. about 30 of them gave me 12000 ambrosia lmao
MarsInAres 28 Aug, 2024 @ 9:57pm
love this mod as always
Sack Lunch 19 Aug, 2024 @ 8:34pm
i just wanted to say that i appreciate that the stonediggers move from side to side like a crab
Tpyo 17 Aug, 2024 @ 6:55pm
Thanks @pig and @Jimothy. I hadnt noticed, but I have since made a few awakened Gaubricmakers and they dont seem to clean very much, but yo uare right, they do!

@jimothy, also thanks for pointing out the Phytokin!!!! Wicked cool, I dont have the two most recent xpacks for rimworld yet. If I pick them up i'd love to try these Phytokins!

I still would love them to add some sort of specialized cleaning dryad, like a little gelatinous dryad that wanders around and eats up filth like a little gelatinous cube. :steamhappy:
Dr Jimothy 15 Aug, 2024 @ 4:10pm
@Tpyo
Like the yummy hunk of pumpkin-flavoured bacon says, awakened gaubric maker cleans.
Also, if you use VRE - Phytokin, the dryads summoned by the Guaranlenkin can clean!
pig in a pumpkin 4 Aug, 2024 @ 12:02am
The awakened gaubric maker cleans
Tpyo 3 Aug, 2024 @ 8:42pm
Absolutely adore this mod and been using it for years. Would LOVE for a cleaning dryad to be added!

Maybe it's awakening form would periodically leave behind some random raw resources it's recycled from all its cleaning?
Xapphire 2 Aug, 2024 @ 4:16pm
Thanks! They finally work when they only can wander in diggable terrain.
