@Glanzschurke if you are talking about Crystal Rarities (https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2069554360) , that mod also removes the cooldown, among a few other things. So you would not need both.

Should be safe to remove midgame.

Save to remove midgame? I got another mod installed that makes it so that only
more or less larger asteroids spawn (called "Larger Asteroids Only") not sure if they are compatible. So I think about removal.

Just a heads up, in vanilla, you can also keep the other crystals from changing to purple if you do not fully mine the other colors. Leave a sliver of HP and it doesn't trigger the change. That means you don't get as many crystals, but it means you can keep searching for higher quality crystals.

I did not know it does not trigger on purples. That's good to know.

@Baklavah - objectspawnrules.xml has not changed since patch 4.20. The mod should be 5.00 compatible. Nevertheless, i will test this and update the change log today. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Compatibility depends on the attributes or spawn rules changed by the other mods. The normal version of "Crystal Rarity", the first link in aladinaleks' post, replaces all spawn rules with custom ones, which do not add the cooldown attribute to begin with. So you will not need this mod if you use "Crystal Rarity".

The 2nd link, "Crystal Rarity - Glow Only", does not change the spawn rules, so my mod should be compatible with that.

Must be compatible. Although this mod makes changes to the same file as other mods, it does not touch the parts changed by other mods.
