1.6 has added a new feature that allows animal crossbreeding, so can we crossbreed our torties now?

"Animals can cross-breed with other species, if configured in XML. Currently this is only used in one situation in Odyssey. E.g.

Looks like I can add compatibility fairly easily, though in the interest of not causing any issues I'll wait until RimWorld 1.5 to do it.

@SirMashedPotato Should have mentioned it was a modded trait, it simply doesn't recognize the Tortie as a cat or subtype therefore of. Their mod description states that anything using "cat" in their definitions would be recognized, just relaying what was said there.

And they can't use the cat def, as then they'd replace the vanilla cat.

the genetic rim patch is a tad weird cuz the mod is for 1.2 only , and will be overhauled next. Having said that tortie seems like a cool dude
