Now that animation engine handles movements a vanilla version is more feasible but only for some of the weapons. Many of them still need weaponcore to function properly while others aren’t possible at all

I love your designs and artistry! I like to use small grid stuff so to see this while searching got me stoked. Question, is there a way to remove the dependency on weaponcore? I don't use it. I'm starting to work on a world scenario for a friends and family server and would like to make a faction using your models. If not thanks for your time and keep up the amazing engineering!!

Yes I have for sure done the panic button system before, now a days though, I'll do outer base 4 interior turret defensive perimeters around the based, so kinetic ammo mags

Nah I don’t no of anything that could do that. People tend to place panic buttons around their base or grid to activate defenses in case of npc spawns. Until they finally have sufficient power generation where they can leave weapons online

Absolutely loving the design of your weapons. Can't wait to try them out in-game.

Regarding the power-draw. Do you happen to know of a radar system that could toggle a timer on/off, to switch defenses? I tend to progress slow and usually MES' attacks outpace my growth.

I am gonna be doing a good bit of work on my stuff over the summer and will probably release 2 new weapons by May 10th of which both are retractable

Oh well in that case I have many more planned weapons that will fit/fill in more of the roles I am currently missing. Many of which will be retractable. I am gonna push a few retractable small grid weapons soon and then will be shifting my focus back on large grid the first of which will be the weapon in the teaser.

make your own weapons, using her idea in some areas, such as heavy weapons, point defense, ect, but retractable. so far you just dot out what you make. little here, little there.

retractable and concealable is something i personally like. and as you said you wont take it up to try and fuck with her models, itd be best to just make your own series of similar weapons. is what i mean.

uhhhh no... That would take a huge amount of time. Not to mention I doubt she would just give me all of her files so that I could edit them to be retractable in the first place. Either way it be a huge effort on my part to do all that. You'd have better luck convincing her to make retractable variants of her weapons

and the second question was if you'd be able to make some of her content your own way, thats retractable. tbh, her pack of everything is nice, but has alot of overlapping roles in her weapons.

I know the developer of that pack but not sure if she is up for collab. Even if so I am busy with irl rn. I will have a lot more free time soon but I was wanting to try and catch up on all my stuff I fell behind on. Confused on what you are asking for in your 2nd question. Unless you mean editing her pack to have retractable stuff in which case probably not as she as a butt load of stuff and they would all require the blender files for them all and need a lot of work.

guy iv been in this building shit since 2016. iv been waiting for a good sense of weapon systems to return to that can be retractable and attractable! Though, i found a large pack of weapons that are the most attractive BUT they arnt RETRACTABLE! god damn it!

two questions

1. how comfortable are you with collabing!
2. can u support the top part with evidence or create an alternative to similar large pack of ... mostly similar weapons!

Far as I know it’s working. If there is an error it should show up in your logs. If you want to use my experimental branch which I just updated it’s the shattered weapon pack on my profile

Since the round does 2000 damage and one steel block is 100 hp for small grid

Its heavily more armor piercing then it is explosive. It should be able to in theory actually go through 20 small grid light armor blocks

Well that doesn't seem right. If anything I would expect it to over penetrate a small grid drone especially if it doesn't hit a non armor block like a thruster

It barely got thought 2 layers of small grid blocks after some 5-6 shots, and from inspecting the damage visually it didn't seem to do much, overall really great mod!

Ok because it seemed really under-powered against a light armor small grid target and I was so confused, I guess reword my comment to "could you look into making more noticeable damage"

But I may make some changes as I am converting my stuff from 2.0 weaponcore to 2.2weaponcore which made some changes to explosives. So I am gonna be reviewing my explosive dealing weapons again as I test some of the new options and modes

It should contain both Frosty.
Bluebery the damage is mostly in its round and not in its explosive damage. It deals 100 explosive damage in a 1m radius where the tank round deals 2000 damage. 100 damage is = to one steel plate.

Really like the model and concept, but is it possible to increase the damage? I shot at a downed Space Pirate light armored atmospheric drone and it was barely doing more damage than a vanilla gatling gun or missile launcher.

Might be worth checking to see if your weaponcore is up to date as someone had a issue with one of my weapons last night and it ended up being that there weaponcore didn't update

C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers is where SE logs are and then in the storage folder is where you will find Weaponcore logs
