I swear though, this and Drywall Hides Pipes should just be a stock game thing! It's how we hide that stuff in real life

I can't test this in spacecraft because I don't have Spaced Out, but the other tests I tried don't reproduce the bug. Need more info and/or confirmation that the bug is specific to spacecrafts.

Does it happen with newly built pipes or after save reload? Does the problem exist in spacecraft only? Maybe any other details?

when i look at the decor i am seeing negative for pipes in spacecraft when covered by drywall somehow?

much appreciated! like I said, might've been a one in a million fluke (500h, 50+ mods and only 1 CTD? this a remarkably stable game)

Thank you for the detailed report! Unfortunately, the crash log says it was an exception in Unity's native code. I have no idea what's going on there and what circumstances could lead to this. I've seen a similar thing in other mod's crash log once, so it's definitely an error-prone part, but still don't know why.

sent details in a git issue, incl. player.log of the session that crashed and the CTD log message. Honestly think it was a one-off kind of fluke, mod was working great, I'll give it another try and keep an eye out

Yes, please. And when does the crash happen? Can it be a mod conflict? Does it happen with other saves? I don't have any crashes, so any piece of info is useful.

Added an option to not hide buildings that cannot be placed inside tiles. I hope it won't come with undesired side effects.

I agree hiding heavy wire fells cheaty and comparing to individual items is not a good idea.
Could you maybe compare to the ability of an item to be placed inside a tile? Normal Pipes can be placed within a tile heavy wire not. As an alternative the wallpaper could "cover" only an certain amount of decor? So if the building behind has -5 it is covered but if it is lower than -10 it will not cover the decor value? But thats probably compute heavy too?

It is possible, but I should compare type of each building one by one then (Is this a conductive wire? Is this a wire bridge? Is this a heavy-watt wire? Is this an insulated gas pipe? Is this a radiant liquid pipe?..) That's slower, much more error-prone and will not work with newly added or modded buildings without updates and compatibility patches. More bad than good for me.

That's right, Decor Reimagined replaces decor system totally. It has its own options, try to ask the author to add such option.

Одна из возможных причин такой нестабильности найдена и исправлена. К сожалению, уверенности в том, что она была единственной, у меня нет, поэтому прошу перепроверить.

Сейчас ещё раз всё проверил, декор меняется как то странно, например выбил в породе комнату 3х4 с вакуумом, и сделал тоже самое, не работало пока не сломал соседний блок. И ещё на базе закрыл в гипсокартон толстые провода, какая-то часть перестала влиять, какая-то нет, сохранил-загрузил теперь все провода не влияют на декор. Может допилить сможете? А то явно наблюдается нестабильность.
p.s. похоже это как то подвязано на клетки, в первом случае у меня дубликант не просто прошёл мимо, а разрушил клетку когда шёл к тестовому стенду.

Интересно. В режиме песочницы у меня декор меняется сразу. Возможно, режим разработчика действует иначе, хотя это было бы странно.

Хмм, получается что если через творческий режим всё быстренько сделать то будет так {LINK FJERNET} , а когда мимо пройдёт дубликант то всё начинает работать {LINK FJERNET} . Спасибо.

Уверены? Новая версия мода работает с декором так же, как сама игра - с объектами внутри клеток. Это означает, что он теперь не влияет на число в характеристиках строения, а вместо этого убирает сам эффект декора. Проверьте через оверлей декора или подведите дубликанта и посмотрите его мнение о декоре.
