type mat_specular 0 into console, should fix it. there's no missing textures, only the cubemaps are broken for some users

This mod was updated, but we ported everything to vscript which is not supported in Garry's Mod. If you wanna get the latest version, play it as a source sdk 2013 mod

Combined the maps with beta atheistics mod. can confirm, very dark and gritty!!1! (btw the hobo life series is really good, don't know if it will continue but if it does I would love to see it)

lucas was supposed to have around a thousand health, have explosive barrels around him and gang members were supposed to storm the warehouse via exploding the wall and storming in
but Brick guy just literally shot him when we tested the health, so we made a cutscene out of it

It truly was, I was sitting there getting myself ready mentally for a bunch of gang members to bust out a door. But the Lucas just gets domed. I wouldn't have it any other way that shit was funny

it was supposed to be a big climactic bossfight ending in a spectacular death, but midway through development Brick Guy literally just shot and killed him right after the cutscene ended, prompting us to go with that since it was WAY funnier

What an ending, 10/10

But if you still want to do it, without looking at it then:
1. Create a game_text entity and name it, then edit it to be how you like it.
2. Create an npc and then go to its outputs and add new output
3.
My output named: OnPlayerUse (How do you activate it)
Targets entities named: SELECT YOUR TEXT (What entity will get activated)
Via this output: Display (When it gets activated, what will happen)
4. Press apply and you're done!

mode, i agree. i fucking LOVE chill's maps and how crazy and offensive they are. i really love how we captured that with Hobo Life (sadly a bit toned down). we want to make a lot more stuff just like this for all of you guys, but we're really not sure if we actually can. we'll try, though! we'll always try to get the best, most absurd mods out there for all of you to enjoy.

hey Icos, thanks so much for that comment! we wish we had much more time to work on things and add more stuff into the mod, but sadly we didn't have enough time to add more of the things we wanted in. we really did push Source to it's absolute limits with this mod, and we couldn't do anything about it.
