This is fantastic. I absolutely love the overgrown environment, and the HLA mechanics in Portal test chambers is just so neat. The puzzles were also genuinely challenging which I really admired.

@Skummeh Yeah, but it felt like cheating. I'm mad I didn't find the real solution
Skummeh 23 Apr, 2022 @ 9:14am
@jiroscop that was great! I love how many different solutions we've all come up with.

@drobertbaker Let's compare our solutions to the last puzzle. I activate the stairs, place a cube very close to the laser beam, climb the stairs with a second cube, throw the second cube to push the first cube in small incerements(gravity pull the second cube to throw it more times if you need to). It's a solid solution as it does not rely on luck and it's repeatable.

These were really fun to play! Looking forward to the day we can have working portal guns in Alyx, but until that time comes this is a perfect substitute. My playthrough of the first two levels here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87wRzlXpOU4

Very technically impressive. It feels like all the game code from portal2 and everything else is here.

@drobertbaker I felt stupid and brilliant at the same time when I figured out "the right way" to solve it. @The Coletrain definitely had the most brilliant solution, even though "it was a stupid plan" :D

Fascinating that the last puzzle which sent me to bed the first night in tears thinking it impossible ends up with so many solutions:
1 - The intended solution - brilliant puzzle design
2 - @Skummeh
3 - @The Coletrain Your solution for the last puzzle was AMAZING!
4 - My solution was still different
(5) - I don't know the @jiroscop solution, but maybe a fifth one

I just played Portal 2 over the last week, and the day after I finished it, I stumble upon this. You so made my day ! Felt like I was inside one of those test chambers, and I LOVED it. Well done !

Great puzzles! Really got a taste of what would be a full blown game! Appreciated the sounds too!

I have to say a couple of the puzzles really did stump me for a bit, which made me feel great knowing people can pull off that stuff in Alyx. The environment is absolutely stunning to look at, my only complaint being how the fizzler looks a bit odd in comparison with Portal 2. Thanks for creating, favorited!

Played the map and found a solution to the last puzzle that the map creator probably didn't think was possible.

Visually gorgeous, with an immersive atmosphere that makes me feel like a lone survivor after some apocalypse. What was provided felt like a small part of a much bigger game (e.g., a game where this puzzle feature was a prelude before a battle).
The puzzles in this game were of the type that, when I solved it myself, made me feel like I had an extra brain cell that just woke up. There was one puzzle near the end that I would have bet somebody's life (not my own) on that I tried every possible combo, but thanks to Skummeh;s video, I got a big serving of Humble Pie.

How nice to complete a workshop level that gave the same exhilaration of completion due to use of the brain, instead of a trigger finger (although for that one puzzle, I almost gave it the middle finger).

@Adeeta Subscribing starts the download process which may take time as it is about 2GB. You then just activate the addon in-game and then Start Game with Addons. Check my video guide if you need further assistance: https://youtu.be/k8iovQIK9rk

How does one download this? I subscribed, but no download button is showing up.

It's a shame there aren't more Portal maps on the workshop, this is amazing! Thank you for this.

This was amazing. It truly felt like an abandoned testing track within the Portal 2 universe.

There were a few bugs here and there, but I think most of them were things you couldn't fix; one bug in the final chamber broke everything, but I managed to complete the chamber anyway.
