I personally think the tie could be team colored, red and black striped for RED and blue and white for BLU

Yeah, it would be incredibly fitting if this hat was a reward in some kind of reworked and improved training mode.

Too bad this wasn't considered these years.
With the terrible way the game teaches how to play, Valve may as well rework a training/tutorial system and give this hat upon completion of the course, giving both valuable lessons and a strong motivation to to play them.
