I just finished wrestling this beastie back to life. it struggled mightly. I haven't re-posted it yet, uses a fair number of mods. I'm not quite happy with the turrets, it still uses some sentry turrets as ship defense, which isn't very good for a ship this size. Dunno. Anyway, if anyone cares, nag me to repost.

You should make a working Federation Navy Comet, or a working Thorax. Maybe a Vexor.

What does multiple Gyroscopes benefit you? Besides having a backup, does it make your turn faster? I've seen lots of people overloading on gyroscopes but I havn't noticed any differences between having one or two vrs having twenty.

Also look into the Hyper Thruster. its a mod. but it works pretty well for larger ships. im just about to finish a ship with a mass of 343,878,912 kg+ and i use hyper thrusters to help strife left and right or up and down (slowly but still better then regular large thrusters). i also use the UltraGyro which help alot for what theyre worth instead of just having a bunch of gyros lined up someplace

i might put on the new chaff system i just descoverd. to atleast throw off missile and MG turrets for some period of time. i also made a new form of spaced armor that works pretty well... if you dont mind ur ship to look a bit... bulky or chunky. just a little

they work like CIWS's now (Close In Weapon System) like the Phalanx on US ships. they target anything on a flyby or direct path twards the ship. but it only works with projectiles that reach a certain speed (the ones in real life) so they dont shoot seaguls wile they just fly around.

just tested it and that is no longer an issue. if i recall correctly, i think that's been fixed for quite some time now

Ah. makes sense. Did they finally fix the turrets targeting your own missiles? haven't tested it in a while.

sorry for the late reply guys im just now noticing this. the downloading mods error should now be fixed.

as for the AMS, it's a bunch of exterior interior turrets set to target meteors and missiles, freeing up the gatlings to do better jobs

before the titans where put on by yourself i did it myself because this ship was a bit toooo slow. i had to chew at the back a bit. then put x2 Titans in the ship. so far this ship is clasified as a "capital ship" via my server. cuz i know anything larger would be... a bit laggy.

i can do alot more upgrades to future project ships that are finished. think of them as final touches... not much removing of blocks.

i have more upgrade tips aswell. BUT i think another "one of me" building would get in the way of the construction of planned ships or projects. good luck though.

i do along the lines of upgrading ships that i like. for example this thing here. it needed some anti-missile systems on the front and upper front of the ship. so i threw on 8 internal turrets.

the armor was mostly light armor. so i threw on some walkways as "spaced armor" for added protection.

built in a 3-distance I.D. system. "*blank*" - if far enough away, unable to know what the ship is. then a meak I.D. such as "Large Ship" -when the ship is able to be seen from afar. then "*example name for the ship i.e. Weskier class cargo ship*" -when within a range to actually see what the ship is.

i was even thinking of putting on some consealable weapons but relized the ship was too small for that and would have to mess up some of the internals to do it.... so i went down to my Base location and built a Silo that can conseal a Rocket Turret with the help of my friend.

im still quite a noob in space engineers, and i have only just figured out how to veiw these creations in an empty world, but is it possible to use them in your existing servers ?

Just flat out beautiful. That front gives me shivers. Is this inspired by the Amarr race style ships? Also, if the Pheonix guild is looking for any new members, I would happily apply. I don't have any ships on workshop to show, but I have plenty to upload if you'd like to see.

Ya know... seeing the potential of this game. And seeing almost (and I mean LITERALLY almos all of the ships on the workshop. I have to say i love yours best. the phoenix is exactly what iv been looking for. I will admit I do not have a very large amount of experience in ship design. That said, i am VERY creative, and adept at coming up with efficient, compact, beautiful looking interiors and exteriors. Iv spent countless hours/years designing things of this sort, (just not this game. lol) I have always obsessed, when making something i really care about in a game from scratch, until EVERY single, minute detail has been perfected. I run on a $4690 custom desktop top of the line everything. (althoughh now a 1.5 years old :P still hasnt slowed down EVER. xD (re copied and pasted so this all would appear in order lol.

I love the asthetics of the interior design =)
The angled walls, ceilings, and lighting all give it a great sci-fi feel to it. Makes the current ship im working on feel like a hospital O_o

The only ship on the workshop that withstood my Javelin Anti-ship missile system (A 3x3 AP missile launched at maximum velocity from a railgunm, it has a tip of 1 warhead, to breach the armor, with a heavy armor plate behind to tip to avoid detonation of the primary explosives, cased in light armor, which then explode inside of the ship, destroying components and people alike.)
