If you want a "large city" you have to combine this with other styles like Italian or Arab high density to create that Mediterranean city look.

I bet that's what is going on but I will test it now, screenshot and report back.
Does this work for you despite the list of "missing" props?
A District Style allows you to control what residential, commercial, office, or industrial assets grow in a certain area. -- which you define by the "Draw Districts" tool in the game.
I am still confused between Districts and Themes so wanted to be sure before I downloaded both these new ones!
Once you have done so, you can select the name of the District that is shown overlaying your city, and from the District menu you can select this as the Style.
The buildings that have grown there and which are not included in this style should then disappear and new buildings will grow, and you should make those historical or they could change to something (vanilla) that is not of this Style.
In order for all of that to work you do need to click the Collection above and Subscribe to All so that you have all of the assets necessary. I recommend doing so in Steam and not while the game is running.
