thoughts on a sci fi weapons mod?

Twin 100mm/65 turret (AA gun but fits the caliber for main guns in the game)
Twin 127mm/40 or 127mm/50 (one is an AA gun, the other is a destroyer main gun)
Triple 155mm/60 turret (on Mogami and Yamato class as secondaries)
Twin 203mm/50 turret (on basically every Japanese heavy cruiser)
Triple 203mm turret (on Zao in WoWS, fictional)

Japan already has representation with battleship guns, mostly just lacking in the smaller guns department.

understandable,just alot of the variants are so far weaker per shot to vanilla of what i notice.

The main guns in this mod are more powerful in terms of damage per shot compared with their vanilla counterparts since they have been enlarged and therefore take up more deck space (or more accurately speaking, the vanilla guns have been scaled down vs their actual sizes.)

That said I think I haven't rebalanced them based on the current weapon damage values. I will see if I can find the time to do it.

This behaviour is caused by a bug in the base game's code. The dev is aware of this and will look into it. Meanwhile, it may help to zoom in and use the mouse cursor (if you are playing on PC) to more easily reach the sweet-spot.

So for some reason none of these weapons can be mounted on the centerline. It may be because I'm also using the 90-degree guns mod too, but only guns smaller than 200mm seem to be effected by it. This includes point defenses added by the mod.

Could the 4k33 OSA-M get its range increased to 1000m instead of the 500m it currently has?

A sam is needing that range to at least be able to do its job as is a bit sad when proper semi-active radar guided sam is being out ranged by basic ciws (the ak-630m is 1000m range engagement) in terms of engagement range.

Also with it being set to 1000m range it'll not be competing with the Kashtan CIWS (missiles) system that is 1300m range.

I have updated the mod and the game itself has also been updated, can you try it again now and see if it works? The current system will unlock weapons after you have collected its near-equivalent in the campaign, but you should also be able to unlock them temporarily with the "unlock all techs" option.

IIRC there is a problem with how the base game handles parts unlocking. The dev is looking into it, but for now can you try the "unlock all techs" option in the ship designer and see if those parts show up?

It seems all VLS missile AA refuse to fire right now after the new update, the VL-ASROC seems to be affected, too. IIRC the base game will feature VLS missiles at some point, so VLS logic will be fixed in the future and I can just use that once it is available.

Well, there is a possible bug with the US AA and ASROC VLS weapons, as they don't appear to fire. :\

Yes, currently the base game does not allow any part with understructures to fit onto superstructures. The dev is aware of this issue

The more modern automatics and the VLS aren't allowing themselves to be fitted onto the superstructure despite the text saying they can... is this a bug?

150mm sk/c 28 and other kinds of variants maybe and for the DDs can be 128 mm/60 SK C/41 and 128 mm/45 SK C/34 and other variants of these guns

I also added the Stonehenge gun from Ace Combat. I don't think any vanilla hull can carry it, so I added a special hull in the "Fictional Hulls" mod (Navire Transporteur de Super-Arme) for this purpose.

Since Squid ASW is now included in the base game (same model), I have removed it from the mod. Also, the BL 6-inch Mk XII casemate currently points the wrong way until the related logic is fixed in the base game.
