has this mod been fixed?

I assume the API has updated since this was uploaded, as modifying a symbol's type (at least to vanilla symbols) doesn't seem to function correctly anymore - which means the college student transformations are not working correctly. I've had more luck destroying/removing the symbol and adding an appropriate new one.

Yep same problem with NavoNerd. I hope it gets fixed cuz i love the concept of this mod. Keep it going!

College student bugs out when trying to evolve into professor while also trying to become any of the other jobs it can turn into. Turns into a question mark that does nothing. Had this happen twice, once with diver transformation and another with geologist transformation.

I tried cancelling individual details of various mods and I'm still getting ? instead of usable Symbols :(

This is awesome! But please specify in the description that it is not compatible with 'I heard you like ores'!

Uh when the college student tried to transform I just got the question mark symbol

I like the mod but it has too many bugs or conflicts

I am assuming it's actually the ore tweaks mod since that one changes how geologist works
My guess is that mod assigns a different value to point to the new geo while this mod looks for the old one and is unable to find it resulting in the question mark

If it has 2 objects that can transform the college student, it'll be affected by both, transforming itself into two different ones at once during that turn, affecting accordingly to the rest of the objects around it (not sure if it's intended)

College student turns into the pink question mark too often :/ I had to unsubscribe because it really sucks waiting a long time for an item to transform just for it to become a bud. I'm not sure what triggers it, but it happens more often than it doesn't

college student should TAKE money not give money.

either highschooler or college student turned into a pink "?" with no description. it happened twice with them next to two textbooks and a few modded items.

edit: it happened again, this time she was next to the canary from minimod and the ore from "I heard you like ores"

I love this idea, I have a suggestion to tweak the balance so these new symbols are less strong. Prior to installing this mod, my floor 15 winrate was around 25%. Since installing, I've played 10-15 times and haven't lost once.

I've also run into the instant conversion thing but I "patched" it by locally changing the High Schooler's turn counter to 15 (seems related to saved_value not resetting until after the turn is over). I think if she gets surrounded by textbooks she'll still skip high school, but maybe if she does that much independent reading she deserves to.

Still one of our favorite new additions.

I'm running into the instant conversion thing too. Also, I had a High schooler next to an ore and a peach, whereupon it switched from a high schooler, to a geologist, and then immediately into Mrs Fruit. It's not necessarily a problem, but it's something to keep in mind.

final step get ore

Very cool mod, but it seems to me that when converting a college student into other rare symbols with the help of an adjacent symbol, it is necessary that this symbol be destroyed. Because having, for example, only one beer, it can inadvertently turn all students into bartenders, and I don't need that.

I think a good idea for the professor since from my play it can take a while to scale is that it can eat apples for a +1.

Just experienced the same issue as @MaybeLater_x and @thelefthorse without a book trigger. I suspect that the highschooler is checking the turn counter to see if it should transform before the counter is reset.

@MaybeLater_x is correct about the high schoolers turning into college students immediately after becoming high schoolers. For me the change was triggered by a book, but it may not matter.

Also there seems to be an issue where kindergarteners grow up into highschoolers, who instantly become grad students. I play at fast speed so can't be sure.

Also GED is common for me, not uncommon as the description states.

I would prefer the value_text to count down instead of count up as I tend not to remember how many turns each transformation takes.

I was able to turn off GED until I wanted it to trigger, so it's kinda manual... ish. Works for now.

It seems odd that a professor doesn't help teach the lower tier symbols - I would imagine it has a similar effect to books. This might be the lynchpin for the pure academia build you were hoping for, leading to a ton of professors.

That's absolutely a good point. I'll hafta add it to the todo list.

What about an edit to the Time Machine item, it effects all the other transforming symbols, so why not transforming people?
