Hello
I wanted to ask for a permission to port model to Blender and then remodel and retexture it for an upcoming animation (in Blender). Credits will be of course given

A small update: turret and hatch issues were fixed.
True Skonger 19. juni 2014 kl. 16:15
Just to note an error with the model: the radio box cannot be reposition or is not bound with the turret. The turret seems to move independently of a completely stationary radio box (though the antenna can move just fine), causing the side of the turret to clip into the radio box when turned to an angle. It would be nice for the radio box to turn with the turret.

Just some constructive feedback.

I can see where you're going and i do agree with you. as mentioned in the description, it was an attempt to stylize a tank into the work of TF2's proportions and as such it went into a process of trial and error. the spirit behind this entry, besides it being the first attemp at something of this scale, was to actually provide a much needed icon such as a tank into a game that revolves around warfare and such.

As the one behind the concept, i'd love to revisit the concept of a TF2-ish tank, being fan of both. i do have plans to rework the texture, because time constrains and my own lack of experience in the matter really makes it look quite bad up close. but for that i'm entirely dependant on someone who would be up to the challenge and work with me as a modeler.
Gazzitas 3. juni 2014 kl. 2:03
Precisely, SovietAdmiral; the prop is just too cartoony in general for Team Fortress 2.

Although I hate to annoy you again by making another comparison, this tank prop looks more like a doghouse or an amusement park ride by TF2 standards than an actual tank.
|={/The Mailman\}=| 2. juni 2014 kl. 12:45
A little too cartoony for me. Your last tank was more like the tf2 style art.
Meta -BOO! (act scared)  [ophavsmand] 2. juni 2014 kl. 8:05
It might be a thing i'm not aware of, but i dont see what you mean with "minecraft or south park's canada".

I mean, I know the game and the show, but i dont get the comparision or what do you mean with it. I asume its because its too cartoon-ish or due to the proportions?
Gazzitas 2. juni 2014 kl. 2:14
"Stylised in an attempt to fit the TF2 universe?"
I personality think it looks like something that came straight out of Minecraft or South Park's Canada. If my knowledge is correct, a TF2-friendly sherman would look pretty close to the real thing.

But other than that, I'm very fond to see tanks being added into the library of Team Fortress 2 props. It would be nice if you were able to fix the bone for the hatch, but anyway it's a good demonstration of modelling ability.
ratboys 1. juni 2014 kl. 13:36
brilliant stuff man!
riñon  [ophavsmand] 31. maj 2014 kl. 18:21
There's a bone for opening the hatch, i can't recall it's name but i'm sure it's there
Krille 31. maj 2014 kl. 6:27
I loved this one, just one problem; Then I try to open the hatch, the upper body follows with it. Any ideas on how to fix it?
Meta -BOO! (act scared)  [ophavsmand] 31. maj 2014 kl. 1:10
I'd love to see that.
