wish this taunt was fixed and had a flair

i know a lot of effort, time and passion is put into these, but these "classes on vehicles" taunts are starting to get old. I know a lot of people really like these, but I think they're becoming oversaturated, Demo got 2 of them within this same update this year, and they don't really function that well as taunts either, they feel more among the lines of fortnite emotes.


If you like these taunts, that's fine and i respect and understand why, but i Don't really like the way valve is going with these, it looks like we're getting at least 2 sitting\relaxing or vehicle taunts every update for each class.

So this animation has the Demoman correctly rowing "backwards", but the boat's pointy end is facing the wrong way.

As other commentators have pointed out "You are supposed to row in the direction of the pointed end of the boat (the bow)".
The problem here is: It's the Demoman who is facing the wrong direction. When rowing a boat with oars, the boat's bow/prow is pointing forward (that's what the pointy end is for), while the person rowing sits with their back to the direction of travel.
You sit facing backwards in a boat with oars. You sit facing forwards in a canoe with paddles.

Not a massive fan of the constant drunken slurring... I mean, for Demo's standards, he looks really sober here. Maybe lines like "What did'a miss?" when he's looking around, or other general comments like that would be more... bearable... Demo's not always a drunk, bumbling buffoon; usually he's only drunk

Nitpicky criticisms aside, is it still worth my saying- I love the idea, and would love to see Demos sailing around the sewers like this

if it gets added, it should move slow on land, but on the water the taunt will keep going, but move faster to simulate friction, and to have this be the first water taunt

Actual criticism: The animation's are fine but I feel like it would be greatly improved by A: Making the boat only move when the paddles are dragging it, it looks a bit goofy that it keeps moving even if demo isnt rowing, B: The audio need's alot of work, specifically the boat dragging noise, it shouldnt be constantly playing and it's far too loud atm, other than that it looks good!

I am kinda conflicted. You are supposed to row in the direction of the pointed end of the boat (the bow), but I think it could totally be in character for demo to be too drunk to tell which way to row.

The bow of the boat just needs to be pointed in the direction of travel and it would be perfect.

good taunt, but my main problem is if it stops during the animations where he stops using the oars. if not, then i personally would not like to see this taunt in-game.

I think it could work, but I wouldn't reuse the dialog from the stagger taunt. This one would need its own fresh dialog.
