@Zuada: I have no interest for that, however, if you get the original mod, just open its folders and delete anything that isn't about the materials and it should work. Or use the Cherry picker mod.

Oh hey, that's pretty nice! Would you be willing to make the other materials standalone too? All I want from Mechalit are the materials really, and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.

IIRC Traimat in the original mod is made from components and several materials introduced in that mod. I didn't want anything from that massive mod other than the traimat so I substituted the ingredients for stuff that I rarely if ever play without.

but trainmat in the original mod (mechalit core) is just trainmat?

Because they are part of the recipe, feel free to change the recipe to suit your preference. How to do so is in an earlier comment.

Also, why do I have to subscribe to all those required items to use it?
ozfresh 27 Apr, 2024 @ 6:54am
Ya, I just like them all not being red in the mod list. Its an easy fix, so...
its appreciated! Thanks!

Of course I can! There, done! However, just so you know this is a very simple mod so it should probably keep working without an update in the future as long as the mods it depends on do.
ozfresh 23 Apr, 2024 @ 6:23am
can you please update this? I love it!

thanks for answer

I really recommend just making it via plasteel and insect jelly or smth (gelatine + metal = gelatinous metal that can be molded and remolded again) or smth of the sort, using 3 mods as a requirement makes this mod an extreme niche.

Still a nice thing to have if you have the mods. ;)

@MrPenguinchik: So, on the one hand I understand where you are coming from and made this mod in a similar state of mind. On the other I’m not familiar enough with SOS2 to balance the recipe. So I’ll tell you which file to change and how. (It’s a boring old notepad file that you can edit with notepad without messing the whole thing up). The file is called Recipes and should be located somewhere like:

“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\294100\2648019509\1.3\Defs\RecipeDefs”

2648019509 being the number for the file containing this mod.

In that file: things like :
<li>
<filter>
<thingDefs>
<li>VCE_Flour</li>
</thingDefs>
</filter>
<count>10</count>
</li>

Indicate ingredients, in this case using 10 (count) of VCE's Flour.

Exotic particles from SOS2 would be <li>ArchotechExoticParticles</li> as an ingredient that you could swap and use however many you consider fair.

make version of this mod using exotic particles from sos2 please

@Mlie: sorry about that, fixed it.

@5katz: It's standalone from the bajillion resources, research and whatnot the original mod had, but my limited imagination didn't find anything compelling to make the recipe from in the base game. Sorry if that's inconvenient. On the plus side the recipe file should be pretty easy to modify if you'd rather have it use base game only resources... after all, I don't know that first thing about coding and was able to do it.

This isn't very standalone if it requires 3 mods instead of 1 to work now, is it?
