I know this mod was meant to be funny, but it's actually wholesome for me. I'm afraid of the jumpscare noise no matter the game or film and really dislike it. This has made Zomboid a much more enjoyable experience for me. Thank you so much.

@rimean I've updated the mod now you can play either with the "vanilla" one or the one with vanilla + dremora sounds

i did it but i still have new sounds too, i don't know why.

@rimean I'm trying to make an modoptions for this but in the meantime you can go to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\2645957765\mods\StopRightThere\media\scripts"
and delete Stop.txt and rename Stop.txt.bak to Stop.txt

The new sounds are scary btw, the old ones were funny and that's the reason why i got this mod.
Can you give us option to disable new sounds?

@Samaj you can edit the audio files in audacity(I used this one) or other audio editor, change the audio gain to +5 or more, after that send to your friends and tell them to overwrite the files

How can I increase the volume? They are a bit too silent for us.

@Samaj It's normal, audio with lenght less than 2 seconds works better, journey.wav and whywontyoudie.wav have 3 seconds they tend to bug the most, that's because the sound plays from zombie location, If someone could tell me how to play it from player location I would appreciate so much!

This mod is great and I love using it, but the sound is bugged for me. The sound plays from one speaker at the time, but switches 10 times a second from left to right one and back, really obnoxious. Did anyone encounter this problem? Do anyone know how to fix it?

@Thepizzahuntman the mod should work fine just by subscribing and activating it, or maybe you have an incompatible mod ? try creating another save with just this mod on and see if it works

I'm not sure if this mod is the same version (41.65 as of 1/7/21) as the game but I can't get this to work no matter what I do. Every panic noise is just silent when this is on. Do i need to put this somewhere specific, rather than just clicking the subscribe button?

Bro, this mod is so good. I always hated the cheap jump scare. However, I still jump out of my seat when a zombie is on the other side of door and there's an Oblivion guard coming for me. Still has the scary nature (it's so loud and unexpected) with a comedy touch.

I went into a house, heard a knocking on the door. I walk up to the door from the side... look out the door and immediately get greeted by a zombie shouting in khajiit voice "YOUR MONEY OR YOUR LIFE"

Honestly, as stupid as it sounds, this mod actually extends the joy that my friends and I have while playing PZ. We laugh all the time when a zombie sneaks up to us and says something like "Your money or your life!".

I personally hate the jumpscare sounds, they make a not-scary situation scary, solely because of the loud sound it makes. One time I almost flung my mouse across the room, because of it. I like scary situation WHEN they are scary, not because they HAVE TO BE scary. This mod fixes this for me.

this is my favourite mod, I refuse to play the game without it now.

done, now it's less loud, also removed background music, audio should have a better quality now!

If you can turn down the volume I'd love to use this again. Right now I'm using the MGS one because the default noise is way too startling for me. It makes me throw my hands up and then I always die
