Turns out you're right again. Narrowed it down to Advanced Rappelling, Sling Loading, and Towing, and tried just without Rappelling just before I read your new comment and sure enough that was it.

And yeah it's a Linux server.

It's a really odd look when it happens to the AI, they freeze up in place, can rotate, and can fire, but no animations play on them. I was poking around in mods for something that would call pauseAI or doStop and never undo it, but honestly even after finding what mod causes it, can't find in it what actually is causing it.

Either way for future reference that anyone comes across this. Advanced Rappelling is a no-no, may look at alternatives for rappelling.

If you have a Linux server, then I know very well that the "Advanced Rappelling" mod breaks the AI, but it works fine on a Windows server.

Yep, turns out you're right. Reduced the mods to just RHS and CUP and AI works fine. I'll try to investigate a bit further to find what mod in particular breaks this to save anyone the future headache.

If you use mods, some mods may conflict and work incorrectly on a dedicated server. Try running the game with minimal mods and check it.

Any insight as to why these missions only work properly as a single player scenario for me? On my dedi AI seems to largely be bugged, with most enemy squads only moving once shot (not shot at, but actually hit), and most friendly squads (other than my own) refuse to move at all, but as a single player scenario everything works as intended.

First, I can assure you that this preset worked before with any fixed DRO scenario.

third, the problem is that the scenario loads, but then the map loading screen slightly changes the brightness of the screen and the tooltip, and freezes up. the + and the - buttons (for speeding up and slowing down the game, respectively) can be used. Audio does not play. Clicking any other keyboard buttons doesn't work but you can tab out.

How exactly does it manifest itself and what mods did you use?
