@Ghostwish mh could be a problem with mod, but "once and a while" issues are difficult to debug. When you have a save file, where the problem is occurring shortly after the save, you can send it to me and i look into it.

So I'm having an odd issue, and I'm not even sure if it's this mod, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction: every so once and a while, and I haven't been able to find a pattern, but a random smattering of trees inside of my base will be designated for extraction. They're not in sowing zones, they're not in any zone but the home zone, they're just next to the pathways my pawns use so they'll be happy seeing the trees. I catch them on the occasion, cancel the order, and then if I wait, another random smattering will be marked for extraction. Like, I have the managing mod, but there is NO lumber operations going on.

I get a small issue with the auto extract trees, the extract order is given even on trees already marked for cut. The trees become marked to extract and to cut, and extract is prioritized, so my order is ignored ^^'

I encounter it during sowing, not tried if happens also for construction.

@WDLKD you can now activate in the mod settings, that trees get automatically extracted when they obstruct tasks like building or sowing

I would like a change from auto CUT to auto extract or uproot. If a pawn is automatically assigned to cut down a plant, it should be dug up and taken to storage.

First of all thanks for the great mod, this does what I need after losing a section of Guaranlen grove to an errant grow zone.

Would you consider releasing a version specific for Anima/Guaranlen trees? A simple 'disable auto-cut' for the two trees I mean.

@Yoann @Nameless the error should be fixed. Newborns don't throw an error anymore. Currently i don't play any RimWorld, if there are any other errors, let me know and I'll try to fix them faster this time

My agrihand were unable to sow since I selected my baby, and to harvest a Saguaro cactus in a Growing zone (I think pawns are also concerned). Disabling the mod solved the issue.
The red error isn't harmless.

I don't think, that this is a good idea.
The pawn with mood debuff from tree cutting gets the mood debuff also when another pawn cuts a tree.
So what the sense of the mod, when you get the mood debuff anyway?
When you want to cut a tree, you can always use the order "chop wood"

actually it seems to only happen when I enable the mod mid-game on a save that didn't already have the mod enabled. I filed an issue on the github about it.

Weird, this mod appears to be stopping my farmers from being able to manually prioritize sowing a grow zone.

Are you sure it's only disabling automatic tree cutting?

Also, what are the odds that it's causing some kind of conflict with another mod?

Another idea for this, rather than when ANY pawn will get a mood debuff from it, what if it was "when THIS pawn will get a mood debuff from it" so like, pawns that don't subscribe to ideologies that care about trees will still be like "fuck you, this tree is in my way, I'm removing it"

@GATC What do you mean with "no cut"?
The mod does not change anything about building. It only disables the cutting of trees.
Also your map exist only of trees or something else doesn't work right.

If the "no cut" is on, the builder will not build ANYTHING...

That was actually intended as a counterbalance to having pawns not just cut down trees automatically when I pointed out the expiry, tbh (but it is your choice in the end)

@DisKorruptd I agree, probably you would uproot them anyways. The function would reduce the work you have to do. The question is, do you need it? Currently, I am not annoyed by the manual uprooting of trees and prefer manual uprooting. When pawns auto uproots trees, the chance is high that I forget to replant them. 6 Days is not very long, especially when you have other problems (raids, wounded pawns, caravans).
For the moment, it's too much work, to implement this feature, for me, when I don't use it. Maybe in 2 or 3 weeks I am annoyed by the manual uprooting and implement this feature.
But currently, I don't see it as necessary.

But the mod code is open source, you can add this feature yourself. You can create your own mod or add the feature by a pull request on Github.

@DisKorrupt Of course that is possible. But its a lot of work, currently the mod adds only some checks to ignore the cutting. That is very easy to add to the basic game code. To auto-uproot trees its a little more tricky.
Also it would make the game to easy, in my opinion. When you choose these precepts you should have some disadvantages :steammocking:
But if several people want it, i can add it.

Would it be possible to have the pawns, instead, auto-uproot trees rather than cutting them?
