idea for a new addition! if a dupe get sick enough times withen a set timeframe the get the "sickly" affect (the sickly affect lasts forever if untreated) if a dupe is "sickly" they have a 5 % chance to have a "collapse" if a dupe has a collapse they will fall to the floor (similar for when a dupe gets incapacitated) and sit there, but they only have a 10% chance of living if brought to a med-bed. if they are unlucky and arent the 10% who do make it, their death timer continues to run down. the only way to have a sure-fire way to save them is to bring them to a new "life support machine" which needs to be supplied with oxygen. a dupe may have to sit in that machine for up to 5 cycles.

[h1] the cure for sickly [/h1]

the only way to cure the sickly affect is to give them a new serum called "the rejuvination serum" once a dupe takes said serum they get cured within 5 cycles .

No worries! Thanks!
CatPlasma 14 Sep @ 9:39pm
Oh, yes. I just saw a merged Chinese translation while browsing the repo. I only looked at the issue when submitting the translation request and didn't check the PR. It was indeed my fault. I've closed the issue. The merged translation is much better than mine. Thank you for your attention and reply!
pether.pg  [author] 14 Sep @ 2:32pm
Hi! Thanks for the translation, CatPlasma!
I believe I recently merged some translation, but I didn't release that yet because I am in the middle of code updates (and I will be honest, Silksong hit hard and the whole modding industry stopped). I'm not sure if your github issue does not duplicate that translation by any chance
CatPlasma 14 Sep @ 2:13am
Hi pether, I have open a issue about Chinese translation on GitHub and could you please deal with it? I really want Chinese players can enjoy the interesting mod!
IAmALoser06 24 Aug @ 8:30pm
I unistalled and re-installed all of my modes and it workded thank you
Stretchytall 24 Aug @ 8:11pm
Working fine for me since then. Make sure it's not another mod that's crashing. If not, reinstall DE mod or try forcing update.
IAmALoser06 24 Aug @ 7:44pm
I dont know if it is only me, but it is still crushing every time I open the game ever since the prehisotric update
pether.pg  [author] 25 Jul @ 2:09am
That is Vanila ONI thing. They poop infected slime after eating some POX
Stretchytall 24 Jul @ 2:42pm
I see Pufts are sources of Slimelung. But there's a Puft on my map that's floating in polluted oxygen, yet he hasn't infected it with Slimelung. So at what point do Pufts spread Slimelung?

New Release:
- Updated for Prehistoric DLC
- Gnits (DLC Mosquitos) now spread Bog Bug germs
- Meged all Antiviral recipes into one recipe using different ingridient options (QoL only, no balance impact)
- Fixed codex crash - as a result Mod medicines may not appear in the codex
- Improved Alien Sickness Cure stress boost (from 25 to 50 per cycle)
pether.pg  [author] 18 Jun @ 10:05am
Thanks for the report!
I was on vacation, I will fix the crashes as soon as possible!
Stroomschok 16 Jun @ 11:49am
The update for the new Prehistoric DLC has broken this mod. Tested with only this mod enabled (mod still works when tested against old ONI beta from April).
Evil Weevil 13 Jun @ 8:24am
Makes sense, thanks!
pether.pg  [author] 11 Jun @ 3:03pm
In the released mod version, the intention is to constantly replace nanobots. Whole system is designed to be late-game resource sink, when you don't have much else to do. But when I playtested it I wasn't fully happy with it and I plan to do something better in the future (no dates though).
I put steel as reproduction medium in the code because it felt right from the lore perspective, but I don't expect it to be used in the game. If you find a way to benefit from that property then congrats!
Evil Weevil 11 Jun @ 9:36am
I get that medical nanobots are supposed to replicate on steel, but how is that supposed to work in practice? To my knowledge at least, germs on gases do not transfer to solids or vice versa. Would that mean the only way to get them to replicate would be to put them in steel gas? Or am I missing something?
pether.pg  [author] 6 Jun @ 3:32pm
hm... what were you doing when the crash occured?

Gyropilot 4 Jun @ 8:08pm
It's crazy to have a actual reason to use plastic and UV lights to prepare a chamber to grow germs to make vaccines though. Really cool. Loving the mod
Gyropilot 25 May @ 12:23pm
I assume this MooFlu in the options is the GassyGerms in the description? I want to disable it
I agree with the guy below
The mod seems dope and I'll be glad to give it a try, but well planned and well informed decisions is the heart of ONI. More accurate details in the disease description would be awesome
pether.pg  [author] 6 May @ 9:53am
hm... have you tried checking the in-game codex? it should have most of the basic info about each germ. but I will be honest, since I know it all from my code I don't really check that one too often... Please let me know if you find something important missing there
Seodorua 6 May @ 8:42am
One of my problems with this mod is the lack of given information. My base got bombarded with alien goo germs and there's no information on how they spread or how to stop the spread. No information on which gasses they survive in etc.
So my base just got destroyed because of what i'm guessing was my dupes bringing in some pieces of regolith with alien goo on them into my base and I now have to reload to a previous save. Don't get me wrong, I love a challange but I feel like there was nothing I could have done here since there's is almost no information on what I CAN do. Making medicide also isn't doable because the resources needed for it aren't obtainable at my point in the game.
pether.pg  [author] 22 Mar @ 7:46am
New mod version just got released!
- fixed for March 2025 game update
- bionics are now immune to Spindly Disease
- fixed raw meat not being infected with germs
Ice Fenix 14 Mar @ 12:50am
Crashes whole game after March QoL update. :'(
Nux 15 Feb @ 8:26pm
This is a very cool and ambitious mod please keep it up... Feel like you're doing the developer's job. They should have never gave up on the idea they were having during outbreak. I wish people had tutorials and videos using this mod I can't find anybody using this in playthroughs it would be cool
pether.pg  [author] 29 Jan @ 3:11pm
I don't see this issue. Please make sure you have the most recent mod version. Use "Mod Updater" if you need to force mod update
Drulnir 29 Jan @ 2:23pm
Seams like the mod currently cannot be loaded at this point.
Unaware on what may cause the issue.
Izaya 16 Jan @ 12:57am
First, thanks a lot for this mod! I noticed that "Infect Row Meat Drops With Germs" isn't working. This is a small option but interesting, so I've created an issue on GitHub.
pether.pg  [author] 22 Dec, 2024 @ 10:02am
thanks for the info! This week is crazy, next one perhaps I will be able to check it
장애물 22 Dec, 2024 @ 5:07am
Seems Sleeping Curse with bionic dupes is causing crash.
game crashed when bionic dupes are fallen asleep.
if you don't mind, please check this.
pether.pg  [author] 13 Dec, 2024 @ 5:02pm
DLC status - I'm not seeing any issues and I'm not planning to release an update just for DLC code changes. If you see some problems, please let me know because I am not aware of them.

On a separate note - I am considering Bionic-only disease, perhaps something rust-themed. Before I add it, I will need to play with pure DLC a bit to better understand new mechanics and then play even more to playtest my ideas. Can't tell when I am ready with it, may be couple of months due to IRL things. No promises, no dates, just a teaser :)
pether.pg  [author] 21 Nov, 2024 @ 11:52am
update released - fixed for November 2024 game update
please make sure your mod is updated correctly, use "Mod Updater" if you need to force update. if you see any issues on the most recent mod version, please let me know

also - rebalanced some recipes and added QoL features by realwiseserpent (great thanks for your support!)
hottt3 8 Oct, 2024 @ 4:45pm
Thanks for your work! I had an error. Please check out the log and the description in the "discussions" thread.

+1 for updating diseases restored
HP Laserjet 9000 10 Sep, 2024 @ 7:46am
Any chance you can help with updating diseases restored? A group of us have been hoping for an update for it to work again.
pether.pg  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 5:30pm
Discord is good I guess. If not - klei forums or his github sound reasonable
Stretchytall 9 Aug, 2024 @ 5:01pm
Thanks. What's the best way to contact them?
pether.pg  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 4:53pm
Sky is rather out of modding. Your best bet would be asking Stephen / Peter Han for DR updates, but even when he does that, Sky would need to click "update"
Stretchytall 9 Aug, 2024 @ 3:38pm
Pether, do you know if anyone in the mod community is planning to update Skyrunner's Disease Restored mod? There are requests for update, but I understand the mod is somewhat orphaned.
pether.pg  [author] 18 Jul, 2024 @ 2:18pm
Updated for Frost Pack DLC. Frost Proof dupes are immune to Frost Pox.

Boa Tarde, gostaria de saber se é possível deixar a evolução da pesquisar como nessa imagem do link abaixo.

Good afternoon, I would like to know if it is possible to let the search progress like this image in the link below.

pether.pg  [author] 25 Apr, 2024 @ 3:04am
Most of it is C# skills, I was lucky to have enough of them before I started.
To get started with modding basics I followed Cairath's tutorials, very helpful, but they assume you already know C# and won't teach you that.
The rest is searching ONI's code, trying not to cry and crying a lot.
Stretchytall 24 Apr, 2024 @ 6:51pm
Pether, how did you learn to mod ONI? I'd like to be able to mod ONI, but I honestly don't even know how to learn.
pether.pg  [author] 22 Apr, 2024 @ 2:26pm
it is possible, but I would need to playtest it so I knew how do I feel about that change. however, the argument of some biomes lacking resources for the tablet sounds reasonable
Stroomschok 20 Apr, 2024 @ 7:28am
Is it possible to make Moo Flu at least not 'surviving' in oxygen (similary to carbon dioxide where it slowly dies off at only 3%)? The insanely low threshold at 10 and germ-loaded farts already guarantee a base-wide epidemic. And due to the expensive (or in some biomes impossible) cost of sprouting tablets and the player is unlikely going to be prepared beforehand.

Both are still fun and challenging, but to then have the germs permanently stuck in your base's oxygen for a guaranteed future repeat epidemics when immunities run out, is a bit too much in my opinion. At least maybe make 'survives in oxygen' a config option, please?
pether.pg  [author] 20 Mar, 2024 @ 5:30am
@Tito I just released an update, it should fix your issue. Please make sure you have the most recent mod version (use "Mod Updater" if you need to force mod update) and please let me know if the issue persists
Samira 16 Mar, 2024 @ 5:46am
no, i am the one that should be thanking! keep doing that excellent work in the mod!
pether.pg  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 4:45am
No need for the logs, I reproduced the issue and got a fix for it in testing :) Thanks for the report!
