Your board is missing. Is there a way to update it?

The Leader only needs to remain in the territory as a reminder they can't be used elsewhere that battle phase. As long as you can remember, it's irrelevant.

Am I missing something? The leader cards are too large to keep on the territory they occupy. I’m just learning the game, but from reading the rulebook the leaders remain in a territory after being designated for a battle(if they aren’t killed) but this game uses awkwardly-sized cards instead of smaller tokens that could fit in a territory. Am I playing wrong?

Got the simulator to play Dune... wher can I get the Dune TTS?

Battlewheel card numbers should be 0...20 and not 1...10. Also for advanced rule play, half numbers would be also needed

This is a really well done version of Dune. As a new player bringing in a group of new players, I found it was too difficult to determine which cards were original and which were from the expansions.

Not sure if this is a real design prob or just a glitch. When I ALT over the faction cards, they are oriented sideways. Rotating cards does not help, so you have to turn your head 90 degrees to read them.

Heiko Gunther has recently made version of Dune which is somewhere between this and the Dune Express game. He's called it the Dice Must Flow and has very kindly given me permission to use his artwork in Tabletop.

For anyone interested you can try it out here

It's an amagmation of the original, the official expansions and rules edits and clarifications made over the last 30 years. Check out the forums here for a more in depth look: http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/121/dune

There is a large Print and Play community there trying to curate this game, fix it's flaws, and make it the best that it can be.

The rule book and almanac will explain the basic game, the advanced game and the expansions. (You can use the parts you want and leave the rest.) There will also be side bars regarding house rules, etc... I've found that if there is a rule you don't like, don't use it.

I hope that helped. Let me know if you need any other info and I'll see if I can dig it up for you. :)

As an aside, this game has recently been reprinted under the name Rex: Final Days of an Empire. I guess the Frank Herbert estate refused to give Fantasy Flight the rights to use Dune IP so the used a Twilight Imperium skin instead.

I wanted to like this game when I played it many years ago, but thought it was too flawed at the time. This looks like a different edition? Is it any different than the original?

No problem. This game is a treasure that I think everyone should play at least once in their lives. :)
