I would've told you, if I remebered it myself. I made this mod 2 years ago. Since then I forgot nearly everything about CMS modding. One thing, I remeber for sure, there is a modding manual in the game files, where it is all explained. ;-)
Miner 49er 30 Jun, 2023 @ 12:34pm
how would one do that because i have no clue how to do that?
SaQSoN  [author] 30 Jun, 2023 @ 12:32am
>i have had 0 luck finding it
If you have many mod cars installed, the prpbablity of finding a particular car goes down. This car has, if I remeber correctly, 30% base chance of finding it. You can crank it up for yourself in the mod config, though.

Reference for what to use on this truck:

The Bench is a "Bench Cape Front"

The FACTORY tires is "195/75R/17"
in other words for the tire: the size is 17, the width is 195, and the profile is 75

hope this helps! 10/10 mod

I must congratulate you on this mod. I have just built it after finding a shell at the junkyard. Wow what fantastic detail. Thank you.

Many thanks to all modders!

Car Mechanic Simulator wouldn't be half as good without your work.

You invest a lot of time and resources in a hobby.

Thank you very much for that.

It is relatively rare. Doesn't appear every time.
Vestad 5 Jan, 2022 @ 1:19pm
I can't find it anywhere. Have visited junkyard and car auction 20 times without any luck.

SaQSoN  [author] 28 Oct, 2021 @ 5:45am
What version of the car are you working with? I6 engine, or V8? The V8 version does not need the engine cover part, it is only used with I6. Also, V8 version is a 3rd party work, I didn't make it, it's kind of a mod for a mod.
As for the problem with the door - I can not help, may be the problem is not the door, but some other part? May be another door?
Giri Hachi Roku 28 Oct, 2021 @ 4:32am
Sorry to be a bother, and thanks for your kind reply. What i mean the Engine cover is not in the Game (no white position marker) and because of that can't be installed. But it's part of the Repair Workload for the Car. The Engine Cover can be bought, but there is no way to install it. The Car Door was repaired with the Workbench, after installing it, Game says "Nah" your job is not done. Bought a new Door from the Store, installed it, and CM says "nah mate you have not finished the Job". So the Question: is the Culprit the Game or the Mod? that's why i said : FYI... Maybe last patch broke some Mods? Cheers and hav' a nice Day.

Giri 義理 (GER), I am sorry, I could not reproduce any of your problems, or, may be, I didn't understand correctly what your problem is.

I have no problems with removing, or installing the engine cover part, howere, it may be easier to do by installing the hood first. Also check, if the engine cover part may be already installed on your car.

I had no problems repainting the car, or individual parts either. Alhough, repainting mirror (or any other chrome part won't do anything, as the chrome is not paintable in the game).

I do not understand, what you mean by "part not registered in game". If you can not find the bosy parts in the body parts store, then you must look for them in the "community cars body shop" tab in the low right corner of the computer screen.
Giri Hachi Roku 28 Oct, 2021 @ 12:55am
Hello, FYI: Some Problems with the Mod: weird Car Color, unable to install missing Engine Cover, repairing the Car Door was not registered by the Game, or the Side Mirrors. any Solution? or Help? Cheers

s4dnz, I already answered this question down below. In short: this model does represent accurately enough any existing RL vehicle, therefore, the fictional name.
s4dnz 13 Oct, 2021 @ 2:21am
Why you didn't used real brand? That part of rules
Coxzee 8 Oct, 2021 @ 3:55am
Sorry SaQsoN I confused your Mod with the Ford F-100, It was that Mod that you cannot get in not yours, Sorry about that my bad.
SaQSoN  [author] 7 Oct, 2021 @ 10:52pm
Coxzee, this mod is fully functional, hust like any other car in the game. You can sit in and drive it.
Coxzee 6 Oct, 2021 @ 8:42pm
Shame you cannot get in these let alone drive them, I click on the seat but it just will not let me in.
SaQSoN  [author] 3 Oct, 2021 @ 12:27pm
Honestly, I wasn't sure about the proper name. Because, when I was doing the research and looked for the refernce images of the RL vehicle, I found a number of different designations, including the Ford F-50. That was another reason, I wanted to use a fictional name for it. Frod F-50 was kind of a working name for the project. So, when I was told, I need to come up with a different name, then "Salem M-8", it was the only one, I could think of ATM...
MasterMind 3 Oct, 2021 @ 11:14am
you say its based off the ford f-50 which doesn't exist. its actually the f-1 and the 2 and 3 were the heavy duty models and the first year this body style was released was 48 and it pretty much stayed the same till 51. other than that it looks great. wish they had the flat head v 8 to put in these trucks .
Dexsco 29 Sep, 2021 @ 11:04am
I thought this part was integrated with the car. And so it was present and I did not try to remove it. It's ok,It works.
SaQSoN  [author] 29 Sep, 2021 @ 9:12am
I just thought, you, probably, try to install this part without the hood added first. In this case the "ghost" of the hood will block the "ghost" of this part. You need to install the hood first, then open it and install this part.
You will have this problem with all cars, that have "engine cover" part under the hood, or other extrnal body part. Like, stock Elenti Calope, for instance.

Hello and nice job for the car and details of pipes and wires. For the engine cover it does not work, no location is indicated on body assembly mode.
SaQSoN  [author] 28 Sep, 2021 @ 1:13pm
The "engine cover" part is installed in body assembly mode. It is considered part of the body by the game. Open the hood, so you have access to the place, where the part goes in, then turn on body assembly mode - and you will see the place, where this part goes to. Install, as any other body part.
StoneRabbit 28 Sep, 2021 @ 11:19am
Great mod ! I always loved vintage pickup trucks.
One tiny question : I have this engine cover piece in my inventory and I don't know how to put it on the vehicle. No highlight or prompt shows up in assemble mode. What should I do ?
SaQSoN  [author] 28 Sep, 2021 @ 9:18am
Thanks, Steven! Dodge WC-51 is one of my favorite historical cars. And I actually did model it for a PC game already, long time ago (It won't work for the CMS, though).
But, speaking of people's requests, I'll tell you what: making a good, high quality model from scratch to a final product takes around 300-400 work hours. Since I, obviously, can not work full day on a hobby project, like that and not even my every spare hour, that would take a year, or more to complete. By that time, you, probably, will already forget, you requested something. :-)
So, no requests, no promisses. I'll do what ever draws my interest more at the moment and when I start, I can't even be sure, I'll finish it.
So, well, I hope, it explains my view on this matter.
Steven xD 28 Sep, 2021 @ 9:00am
nice work! can you make the dodge power wagon maybe or old chevy pickup ?
SaQSoN  [author] 28 Sep, 2021 @ 2:42am
Thanks, Ιяφɳіс PΛяΛÐφх. This mod is kind of a hint for the devs about those hoses, pipes and wires. :) Look, you can do it, guys! And it's much better, when parts are actually attached to the car, instead of hanging in a void...
Ιяφɳіс PΛяΛÐφх 28 Sep, 2021 @ 12:36am
Awesome mod and incredible attention to detail. One of the best. It would be great if water hoses and brake lines could be part of the game.... Thank you
SaQSoN  [author] 27 Sep, 2021 @ 3:53pm
If I could do the realistic mod, with proper suspension type and size, I'd call it the real name. But, since it is not true to the original - I prefer to use a fake name.
muddyme 27 Sep, 2021 @ 1:55pm
nice work though
muddyme 27 Sep, 2021 @ 1:54pm
Yes the game limits what you you can do but i would much rather work with it named correctly
muddyme 27 Sep, 2021 @ 1:50pm
call it a ford please. i don't like the in game cars and don't work with them. REAL cars please
