@MadMonkee10 I'm not sure it's possible to limit specific items for specific units, but don't quote me on that. It's been a while since I've actively modded this game.

I have a hunch that this might cause some jank if you were to give one of the consumable grenades to a unit that doesn't have some sort of innate (or researchable) grenade ability as they would not have an animation for using the grenade, is there a way to exclude these units from being able to obtain a grenade? (I.E. limiting it to Infantry only)

I would like a mod that gives 6 inventory slots to the "Lord of Skulls" unit as featured in the mod "Recruit Lord of Skulls" by The Holy Pilgrim, which allows Chaos Space Marines to research and craft the Lord of Skulls.

@linkhyrule03 Normally I don't do this, but this was a very simple request so I made you a specific mod as per your specifications, no payment necessary. You can download it here:

All you need to do is extract the folder into your "...\Documents\Proxy Studios\Gladius\Mods" folder. If you don't have a "Mods" folder in the Gladius folder, just make a new folder and call it "Mods" and extract the file there. I tested it out, but let me know if there are any issues.

How much would I have to paypal you to make a version of this mod that adds 6 inventory slots to only two specific units, if such a thing is possible?
In particular, I would like 6 inventory slots added to the unit "Heretek" (a modded hero version of the techpriest enginseer) and to the unit "Lord of Skulls" (a buildable version of the neutral Lord of Skulls), both of which are units in the Renegade Guard faction from the mod "Renegade Guard Mod" by Mithrandir.

@Grim_Reaper Just tested it again, and everything seems to be working fine. Gladius is kind of weird how it handles mod updates so I recommend starting a new game, and see if that gets this working again for ya. If it's still not working after starting a new game, let me know and I'll try and help.

@Grim_Reaper Sorry for the late response. I updated this mod yesterday to be compatible with the Sisters of Battle DLC, and should be working. Were you in the middle of a match when it was updated? I'll take a another look at it but it might require starting a new game for the update to take affect.

The game was bare bones for me, but thx to the modders i actually got into this game. Oh well its a shame, i thought it would be possible to make a compatibility patch or something that wouldnt affect other people. Thx anyway, like your mods. the 6 slots is a very good idea as well as raising the exp level cap to 30

And believe me, it bugs me too. I do a little bit of programming here and there, and one thing they teach you is to make things generic, and reusable. Having these mods only apply to a very specific group of units/buildings triggers me, not to mention the manual updates that are required to include new DLC factions/races/units, but these are the tools we have at our disposal right now. It is nice that we can mod the game at all at least!

TL;DR: I don't make these mods exclude other mods by choice. I would rather they apply to all mods, but it currently doesn't work that way. Maybe in the future they'll change how modding works, but for now you have full permission to take the xml code from these types of mods (unit/building modification mods) and modify them to include the factions/races/units you want, but unfortunately I can't make them for every combination of factions/races/units that are currently available from modding. Sorry!

@Unter_Null: I really wish that I could make these mods more compatible with other mods, as I use some of the modded in factions/races/units as well, but the sad reality is that it just won't work with the way the modding functionality is currently set up. If I were to make these mods include any of the modded factions/races/units, it would actually crash the game for people who did not have those factions/races/units installed. I learned this lesson the hard way with one of my earlier mods: Roads (x3 Movement) . Granted that was a slightly different scenario than this, but the same thing happens.

I even tried modifying: "...\Data\World\Blueprints\UnitTypeManager.xml" and "...\Data\World\Blueprints\BuildingTypeManager.xml" to (in theory) make ALL units/buildings inherit the traits from these mods, but that didn't work either.

can you please make your mods compatible with Children Of Asuryan and Chapter Of the Imperium? those 2 mods are a must have, just as much as your mods. If ull have the time make your mods compatible with those 2. Thanks a lot for your work. Started really enjoying the game with your mods.
