If you check the Nexus, the author is giving pretty consistent updates. Looks like the development is going nicely, still probably another few days out tho. Let the man cook.

Ah yes, nothing like piloting your Marauder with twin Large Pulse Lasers and having a light mech running straight at you. And then with a single click you :shit: all over it.

I totally love this mod. If it can't be updated, I hope the native AI won't have light mechs standing still in a suicidal firing line anymore.

MW5 just dropped a patch that improves AI, wonder if it means this mod isn't needed anymore.

Mod Author stated on his Nexus page for the mod that he thinks it'll be mid to late October before he has it working again.

does not work with YAML i get the error:

This mod spoils you, game is almost unplayable without this mod. It's been stated before but I'll bring it up again, PGI should hire this dude or just straight up buy his mod and incoporate it in the base game.

Can´t wait to test this mod, just checked "nexusmods" and there is a note:

MOD CURRENTLY HAS ISSUES WITH NEWEST DLC:
Will hopefully be updated by the mid to end of October.

yeah, the basic AI is rough. i keep checking for an update as well. All I am doing is running circles with the enemy in every fight. :steamsad:

Playing with the vanilla AI again and pilots have the intelligence of bricks, I can't wait for the new patch to finally come out :steamfacepalm:

The mod is still being worked on, last I checked he's figuring out how to get the AI to handle clanner elementals better. Have patience, we'll get what we need to enjoy MW5 again soon

When i load into a mission i get this error. Failed to find function IsMeleeCapable in DerivedMech_C, not using this mod works fine however when i tag this on this error occurs. Does anyone have an idea how to work around this cuz wanna use this mod, since im sick of deadbrained AI.

Yeah, without this mod my light mech lancemats stand still. Standing still in a light mech? Suicide. The vanilla AI is hopeless. Please please please update this mod!

Thanks to the mod being broken due to the new DLC is just realized and remembered again how fucking atrocious the vanilla AI in this game truly is. Please update the mod.

any idea when your new ai mod will be out? this game is unplayable with vanilla AI.. i swear the devs need to all be fired %100.. perhaps then lit on fire so they never ruin another games AI... mercs would be the worst game of all time if it was not for amazing modders that make it worth playing.. clans is just as much a dumpster fire and could not make it more than 2 missions before falling asleep with the hilariously bad children voicing them..

From Oraeon on Mod Nexus "I have been busy IRL and held up work on my lancemate order system update (to look like MWClans) until the new DLC, also had to replace my computer that bricked. It sounds like there are issues with the new DLC and my mod. I will take a look at it and update. I may actually just redo and simplify the entire mod with new logic and targeting for clan mechs to make them act like clanners since overall the mod has become a bit bloated from all the updates over time. Please post what specific problems you have seen since the DLC and in particular if this is with story missions or the randomly generated missions. Scripted missions tend to have their own logic and require me to build specific workarounds for them." :steamhappy:

F7 doesn't do anything in this mod it seems.
F7 is only there in the nexusmod version I think.

Maaaannn... What the hell is the problem with the AI, whe controling a Grasshopper? EVEN WHEN I set the sniper behavior preset and equip only long range weapons, the AI will still run like a madman towards the enemies. They are always the first to die because of this.

A lot of strange confusion here, so some clarity, from first-hand experience:

1.the mod works, at least the nexus release. it's amazing.

2. F7 works, but will break with some hud mods and mechwarriorVR that hijack the command's menu. Even then mod will still work, only the advanced f7 commands won't.

3. infiltration does seem to work also, just it's made a bit more interesting than vanilla, based more on the actual LoS / radar detection

4. Using voice attack with this is next level fun.

From reading the comments and playing a little, is this mod broken right now or working fine? Can it also be the reason why urbanmechs can take an incredible amount of punishment (torso wisting/spreading damage logic)?

Not trying to be sarcastic or negative here, genuinely wondering!
