Nice map! Because of the small size you won't have many options. This made it medium or even easy for me. I had fun, thanks a lot!

I will inject my two bit as well. The laser sheild kept killing me as I came out from a portal on the wall above it. It was a glitch not of your doing but it would help if that sheild set back one notch deeper.

Awesome sauce! I found two ways to place the block in the final puzzle but only one way while I was at the door. Great work!

@TonToE: Thank you for you comment. After 12 updates, there should be only one way to solve each puzzle, so I doubt you've made any mistake.

I like the idea of ever incrementing difficulty of the same chamber, but I was less sure of the authenticity of the solutions I have made, they each seemed less valid as I progress.

(Sorry for not responding for a little bit) By flinging the cube, I mean placing a portal under the cube spawner, the other on the lone surface above the lightbridge (to the left), and standing on the opposite side of the door. I hit the button through the grid, and as soon as the cube came out of the portal I ran through the grid and caught it. Although it took SEVERAL tries. I hope that makes sense...

I really enjoyed this chamber, although an antline or two could be useful as a couple of items were unclear or hard to see, such as the pedastal button that controls the fizzler around the cube, it's hard to notice the fizzler turn off on the first try.

Ok, so I did it again. On the third map, are you ment to place cube on light bridge over button? If so, very neat solution. In the fourth, before, I was doing the pull the cube through portal thingy, but now that that's pretty impossible, I REALLY like the other solution. :) In the fifth, Are you supposed to jump from light bridge and in mid-air place a portal where the laser hits? That's what I did. And finally, for the last one, my old solution with flinging the cube still works, and I DON'T need the laser at all.

Yeah, I tend to overthink plenty of maps since I usually play very conceptually difficult maps. I just do what I see available to me first and get stuck on that train of thought. Anyway, nice set of chambers!

@Konke Yeah, no, putting the cube near the wall and then jump-grabbing it from the other side is a workaround. This is now fixed.

@Honest_Cake: Did you use the laser catcher? If not, I think you played the old version.

Cool idea with a progression of the puzzles. However, I managed to get stuck at the third puzzle inside the emancipitation grid and the glass. I couldn't get back. Aswell as the fifth puzzle got me stuck when the cube was on the other side I couldn't get a light bridge to cross there.

I did manage to solve the third puzzle but I don't know if you expect the player to light-bridge-jump...


Again, I'm not sure that I solved the fourth puzzle as intended. I put the cube near the wall and had to jump-grab it from the other side, which worked! Then I didn't have any use at all for the button on the other side...


Sorry, but I gave up at the fifth puzzle. The first four quite fun though.

Ok, well, umm... I don't really have anything to record, and if I do, well I don't know about it :/ I'll try best I can to write it here (and to actually remember what it was I did...)

Got cube out of it's room, put cube on button, used lightbridge to get to other side, placed a portal in cube room from there, quickly went in from my lightbridge-portal, replaced the portal under the cube spawner, went back through, placed portal to the left above lightbridge, hit button from other side of Emancipation Grid, as soon as the cube came flying out of portal I ran to the other side and grabbed it. I MIGHT have forgotton something, but that is, in essence, what I did.

I'm stuck on one of the puzzles (I think it's the 4th) It has a light bridge that is replaced with a laser when a button is pressed, and a companion cube that I cannot figure out a way to remove from the room it spawns in (There's an emancipation grid). Can someone walk me through it?

Well, I did a rerun! :)

I noticed in the I think 4th chamber that the button and the light bridge were not needed (If my memory serves me right) . AndI just wanted to make sure my solution for the dreaded last chamber was right: I lightbridged to the other side, got a portal in the cube room under the spawner, went back to the other side and flung the cube over.

What a great and fun map! I really liked the aspect of using the same puzzle over and over again, always adding little twists (I used a similar concept in one of my tests). The first tests had a really nice difficulty, making me not want to kill myself but still made me feel satisfied at the end. The last one, though... Different story! I'll get to that in a sec.
In the third chamber (I think), the added fizzler didn't really do anything to the test. You still used the same solution as the last one. In the fourth, were you supposed to jump from the bridge into a portal placed on laser? And the fifth... I think I spent 30 minutes trying a million different solutions. In the end, I brought the cube over to the other side, and carefully carried it around the Emancipation Field, then walked through myself. Was that intended? Also, you can trap yourself in the last part...
Again, great job. I think it will do well in the contest :)

This is about as hard as I can get. More difficult and I would be lost. Great map. As I said very difficult but also very fun. I spent a lot of time working on the last chamber. Cool fiery cube there at the exit. Thank you and I'll see ya round the workshop.

I got it! Good sort of logic map, in the 3rd or 4th chamber there is a trap situation, if you deleted the laser portals (fom the exit area)...I don't used the button for the the upper fizzler. Poor companion cube: In the end it's burning but perhaps it will be extinguished by somebody or it will be thrown into the burning dropper after leaving the final roomr^^
The Question about difficulty: Let people decide, how difficult a chamber is! Psychologically
it's better to write "hard", ...people absolve the chamber and think: "...but I can solve it!"...then the chamber becomes to a sense of achievement, a lift.

Average difficulty = medium ;) Min. difficulty is easy while the max. difficulty is hard. I suspect some people have downvoted thie test for two reasons:

1) Difficulty...
2) They got trapped in the process of trying to solve some of the difficult tests, and not knowing about noclip, they ragequit.

Also, you can only get in-game ratings higher than 2.5 (or lower than 2) if more people play your test.

@AsinoEsel: Thanks for the epic review, you may also like "Light Bridges" if you had fun with this test. As for the dislikes, I guess you're right, people seem to prefer easier puzzles.

Wow. Epic map. But why only 2.5 out of 5? This deserves way more than that! All dislikes probably came from people who couldn't solve this AWESOME test. I've never seen such a straight forward chamber, which is challenging at the same time. Hell, this is one of the hardest chambers I've ever played!
However, I managed to complete one chamber without needing to press a button (it was the first room with a button, I think). Anyways: Great chamber! I'd like to see more like that.
PS: "Difficulty: Medium." Wow. And I thought I was good for a second. :/ :D

Autosaves won't help. As far as I know, quickload doesn't work well with autosaves.

Cool work, didn't liked it at first look, but it became interesting, 1 puzzler after another.

Though you can skip the last puzzle. If you sand on the button which opens the door, you can shoot a portal through the open door to the other side.

I can understand that the fourth puzzle is harder than the fifth, but the sixth one was supposed to be the most difficult.

I solved all of them without cheating. (So pround of myself) And they were hard. Although the fourth one was the hardest.
