This mod causes crashes at startup and I know why. Inside the building_units_allowed files, there are a bunch of rows where the buildings have been left blank. The building rows need to be filled. Whatever they are meant to overwrite, I suggest instead replacing the unit with something that the culture the building is meant for cannot recruit.

I cannot test it myself, WH2 ain't installed and I do not have the room for all of it just to test this. Flamboyant however tell me that all is fine on his side so I assume the problem might be elsewhere.

Do you use the default SFO, and not some alternate variant?
Do you use the default load order?
Did you subscribe to any ".movie" mod? Those are always enabled even if you did not enable them. Kaedrin's Mod Manager will tell you if some mods are ".movie".
Try to unsub resub, sometime mods get corrupted while downloading.

yeah checked all mods for another 5 hours and youre right your mod is not the issue here.
the mod causing the conflict was greybeards prospector overhaul mod. thanks for taking the time.

Playing as Grom for shorter turns in Vortex. I can see Raknik in the workshop tab after research:

There can be a few reasons why it doesn't work on your end:
-Load order issue, ALWAYS use the default load order unless specifically specified by a mod author. This can cause plenty of issues but weird if you only used 4 mods.
-Another mod break it.
-You played as an unsupported/broken AI faction with the unlocker.

In any case, this mod is not the cause.

I HIGHLY doubt that this is the mod cause the issue. This mod and the orc one do not touch vanilla units at all, nor does it touch hero recruitment or techs.

hey this mod is causing the legendary lords for Greenskins Raknik and Oglok the orrible to become unrecruitable. the whole workshop boyz tab is missing after they are researched.

You'll have to be more accurate than that since it works for me. Crash for you on start up? When mouse hovering a specific unit? On save load?

Make sure to unsub resub just in case, Steam like to forget to download mod updates.

For mods which add "RoR" like units, they are usually fairly easy to convert. Look at how different they are from their vanilla base units, and roughly apply the same changes to SFO's units by cross comparing the files. Mostly need to change battle_entities, land_unit, land_unit_to_ability_junction, main_unit, melee_weapon and projectile tables. Maybe a few more for polishing.

Unit has 20 melee defence in vanilla.
The special version has 25 (25% more).
Sfo has 30.
You give it 37.

A lot of small, but simple tweak. You can also check SFO discord for extra help.

I figured out the issue. The non sfo version of the expanded roster wasn't enabled.

I just downloaded SFO yesterday so my version of SFO is most definitely not outdated. It's the full mod, not combat-only. I've had crash issues with all the "expanded roster sfo" mods even with no other mods installed other than expanded roster (sfo version) ones and sfo itself.

As the only person who have reported any crash on either versions over 2 weeks. Are you sure you ain't using the old SFO patches (mustn't use the old ones) and enabled all required mods? My mod require proper SFO to work too, not the combat only version.

RPFM do not detect any errors (ok it does, but the unit_allowed are fines) and I do not crash. If you somehow still crash and made sure you use the proper mods are enabled/disabled. Test with only SFO, the base mods and my patches (5 mods total). If it still crash, tell me when it do (on launch, on campaign launch, on battle, on mouse hovering a unit...)
