Needs an update as it hides perks like Synthetic Ascension, which then also prevents Machine Empires from taking Modularity, Nanotech, or Virtuality Traditions.

This mod is incompatible with 3.10. It superimposes the "Relics" screen on top of the Traditions screen. I believe in the 3.10 update, the Relics tab has been moved to the "Discoveries" screen. So someone would need to update the code in this mod to reflect that.

@draconialegends I dont have any intention of updating any of my mods anytime soon
I havnt played a proper game of Stellaris in over a year and dont really enjoy the game or modding it anymore.

Anyone that wants to take my mods and update them is more than welcome to.

I cant remember the exactly numbers but theyre pretty similar to vanilla it just scales slower

@Thane-Stus You 're absolotely correct! All versions present the same issue. However, I cannot fathom how your mod affects the issue. I took a quick look at the files you have created and the only proposal I can come up with is that, the issue may be solved if you change the descriptor of the mod.

This bug should be present in all versions of LoT since theyre like 90% the same.

Just uploaded the second screenshot. In both cases I use the "16 Tradition Slots" mod (thought that it might have a difference from the 24 Slots one). Would it help if I uploaded a couple from a new run right at the start?

Hi! Just wanted to report that playing with the mod enabled in 3.7 creates a minor bug in that the relics tab is on the same card with the traditions tab, and the relic number is displayed errorneously there.

@GalaxyVoyager You are playing with Planetary Diversity or another mod that modifies the Ascension Paths.
If youre using Planetary Diversity use this patch

If youre not using Planetary Diversity post your mod list and ill find out whats causing the issue.

I've noticed that you can't pick an ascension perk via synthetic evolution, etc., when I already have more than 7 or 8 traditions closed, acceptance is blocked and the reason is that an empty tradition slot is needed.

It seems to be Planetary Diversity. Strange, as it is a big, popular mod. If I enable vanilla + your mod, issue goes away. If it is vanilla + your mod + PD, it comes back

Tried just removing "need less than 7 trees used" requirement in code, but it didn't work, and overall caused a weird reaction. Better leave it to professionals

@Watchman Thats caused by vanilla, this mod is supposed to patch that, if youre still experiencing then you have another mod thats overwriting this one.

Huh. Do you know if being unable to pick ascension perks due to "need empty slot" issue when 7 perks are already picked is vanilla thing, or mod issue? It is either Expanded Stellaris Traditions/Ascension perks messing stuff up, or just vanilla not being prepared for more than 7 slots

In the future anyone that wants to stay on an old version of the game should really be using Irony Mod Manager to make local copies of all their mods before the new update drops, this will prevent any issues caused by mods updating because local copies made by Irony dont update. Then you can just switch to the workshop versions again when you switch to the new patch.

@Femboy Gaming That Ascension Perks folder isnt redundant if youre playing on 3.6. Its needed to make it so you can still select an ascension path even if you already have 7 or more tradition trees selected.

Im not sure what youre on about not losing save files either, I dont recommend bringing old saves to new versions and none of my updates take save transfers to new versions into account.

Also this mod doesnt make the game load two sets of ascension perks, thats not how mods work, this one overwrites the originals so theres only the one set, and even if it did load duplicate ascension perks that wouldnt cause the crash, whats probably causing the crash is this mods files referencing functions that dont exist on 3.5 but do on 3.6.

I was able to select an eighth tradition, but after that it disappeared. Cannot be selected again. Running Ancient Cache of Technologies, which is the only other mod I have that affects ascension perks. Also running Dynamic UI overhaul, but turning it off doesn't fix the problem. Running NSC season 7.

Ascension Paths are now pickable when 7+ tradition categories are selected.
The way I had to patch this might result in compatibility issues with mods that modify the Ascension Paths, report any issues with such mods to me and I'll fix them.

Not sure if its the same for the other AP's but the Synthetic ascension perk doesn't seem to register anything other than the first 7 slots as empty, so if you fill the first 7 slots before getting the ascension perk it locks it out as the others don't register
