will it be updated?

It isn't updated

Don't know how updated this is but planetary diversity (and sub mods) has just been updated and I think the buildings were updated in the process. Speaking of buildings the reef lab from PD is missing in the buildings file in this mod.

I tried moving the patch and PD itself and it ended up not working either, only showing costs when the compatch mod was completely disabled. The issue persists through all of PD add-ons, so I guess the modding changes in 3.2 did alter the scripting language significantly.
Thanks for the reply.

If you're talking about why 00_basic, 01_advanced, etc are overwritten with blank files, that is how Planetary Diversity does things. It IS strange the game would interpret any issues with 3.2 to equal free costs though.

This patch is outdated and shouldn't be used with 3.2, it functioned fine in 3.1. The terraforming files are copies of the ones distributed with Planetary Diversity of that version with only the ai_weight blocks modified to better fit with the Starnet of that version. I will update it when I have the time.

After almost pulling out my hair I found this to be the culprit of free terraforming cost.
Why do you completely remove any terraforming costs from planets?
In this case the load order matters and you should actually copy over the costs since the files are overwritten.

up to 3.2?

Exotic should just change various ai_weight to get the AI to take certain actions. They're not direct conflicts its just making the AI actually use the modded content.

Tough luck! I had a look myself and I'm confident this one doesn't require major changes (none that I couldn't handle), but with some of the others, e.g. Exotic worlds, I just couldn't understand what was being done with the mod even though I compared old and new versions of both starnet and pd.

Yeah just been busy with my actual job, gig cropped up literally a couple hours after I posted I was working on an update for new Starnet/PlanDiv versions and I've just been slammed since.

Will this (and the other compatibility patches) need to be updated to 3.2 in order to work?
Fiber Cereal 23 Oct, 2021 @ 1:42pm
ty, I totally missed that.
MonkeysInSpace  [author] 22 Oct, 2021 @ 11:46am
Yes, it is in the Note that it will.
Fiber Cereal 22 Oct, 2021 @ 11:03am
Does this work with StarTech AI?
MonkeysInSpace  [author] 11 Oct, 2021 @ 7:42pm
shouldn't have any conflicts
XNiPERIANZ 10 Oct, 2021 @ 2:34pm
compatible with nsc ?
MonkeysInSpace  [author] 8 Oct, 2021 @ 8:49pm
I have an update ready but unfortunately due to a false DMCA takedown on one of my Auto Sort patches I cannot release it until 3pm on the 9th; unknown if this is GMT or Seattle time. These patches will mostly function until then.

yup
