causes immense amounts of lag whenever picking up items, probably because it recalculates crafting recipes every single time you do.

This mod breaks the "Quick Stack to nearby storage systems" logic in Magic Storage due to it hooking into IL.MagicStorage.CraftingGUI::AnalyzeIngredients() . The IL hook isn't properly destroyed by MonoMod and it causes an exception to be thrown after reloading mods.

It would be preferable if you used the EnvironmentModule API – specifically its ModifyCraftingZones hook – in order to add support for your mod instead of using an IL hook.

Magic Storage support has been added! It was a massive pain and there are still some bugs but I can't fix them yet.
