This mod crashes the game when going into the trinket shop and sometimes during a dungeon, even when the ringmaster is not in the party.

The BR team has guidelines for how disruptive & capable prep round abilities should be. Kneel in prep round would be more disruptive to enemy teams than is recommended. She has several other abilities she can use in prep round though!

@UnoReverseCardx2: I'll tell you a secret. This patch should actually work just fine with the full version of Ringmaster. The reason why I strongly urge Ringmaster LITE is because of mod limit; Darkest Dungeon can crash when you overload it with mods, and Black Reliquary + some class mods + hundreds of trinkets could be too much for some. YMMV.

The "Sands and Savages" compatibility update took longer than expected. The work is largely done, expect a patch in a day or so.

I understand that she'll have problems with her CC (aka perfumer) trinket set due to the new BR update. I believe she'll otherwise be fine. I'm planning to update her soon - perhaps Sunday?

I’m not sure I understand your question. This is the BR compatibility patch. It’s essential if you’re using BR, but should not be used otherwise. It patches a ringmaster install.

Ringmaster can be installed in two flavours; normal and LITE. LITE has no pvp trinkets. This mod has no bearing on whether the pvp trinkets are there are not, that depends on your underlying ringmaster install.

... you can’t add it solo with no other mods. Needs to be loaded above RM lite and below BR itself.

Yes, this mod adds the Sideshow Act / Support Act / Headline Act quirks. I was confused because I thought I'd already made the change to make them removeable, but apparently I'd forgotten to push it to workshop. The change will affect future quirks only; anyone who currently has the quirk will need it to evolve before it can be removed.

That said, I'm baffled why you'd want to. You get the quirk via Fan Favourite, a buff you only cast on damage heroes. The quirks grant 5/7/9% CRT and boosts the stress healing done by that hero's crits. It's a top tier quirk on any damage hero.

I'd say grand entrance is pretty good, but not completely broken. Maybe reduce the damage some, but increase the move chance even further. As it is, knocking a frontline enemy to the back row is actually really strong in BR because, as far as I can tell, care was made to ensure enemies being shuffled out of position is really useful now (ie most backline enemies need to work their way back with weak moves, and frontlines have to do the same as they return to the front).
Effectively it can be turned into a half-stun towards multiple foes as they all spend their next actions doing ineffective attacks. It'll be nice to be able to knock big guys back to do this, like the rib breaker guy who has 80% move resist.

i have a few ideas how to balance ringmaster out, featuring the abilities: Kneel! and Grand Entrance.

Kneel! - Should have the effect of "Ignore preparation Round's accuarcy Reduction".
- Doesnt give buffs during "preparation Round period"
- (maybe) "can be used only during "preparation Round period""
- can not be riposted or guarded but cant break guard anymore ( if it wont be a only one time use )

Grand Entrance - Overall lower damage than in the base game
- Grand Entrance has the effect of "Ignore preparation Round's accuarcy Reduction"
- Grand Enterance can stay the same without the damage reduction as long as it can be only used during the "Preparation round period"


this is my opinion on how the ringmaster would be more playable

Yea I’m keeping an eye on it. Wounding enemies is okay but killing them isn’t. The trouble is the skill was designed to be a damaging attack best used on turn 1, which is difficult to reconcile with BR’s preparation round. It’s easy to make it balanced, what’s hard is making it also exciting and fun to use (without being over complicated!)

Smashing with full damage at prep round kinda overtuned. Maybe slight minus dmg mod if used first?
