@Davi
That means I'd have to rewrite this whole mod, which won't happen soon I guess. I wrote this mod initially so that I could just modify a few items while in game when my mod list was much shorter... now I don't even use this mod in my games anymore lol.

Any chance for like a multiplier slider up to like 20x?
Davi 2 Aug @ 8:37am
Oh my, I would love like a multiplier slider instead of having to edit each item 1 by 1 all in 1 menu. I'm getting about 5 fps when I open it. No way anyone is editing 3000 items ;d

@stephenkohnle53
It does not directly modify wastepack dissolving, so you can't stop that from happening; however, if you set wastepack's deterioration rate too high, it can reach 0 HP very quickly and "dissolve" that way.

I havent tried this mod yet, but thought I would ask before I forget. Does this mod affect wastepack dissolving?

ur a legend

@freddie
In the game's main menu are "Mods" and "Options" buttons. After you enable this mod in "Mods" and restart the game, in "Options" is a option for "Mod options" where you can find this mod's options.
freddie 16 Apr @ 6:52am
how do you open the menu
AmCh  [author] 13 Apr @ 3:51am
@Deklatis Not yet! But I do plan on adding a button to "Change all visible items", eventually. I got kinda busy with school though, so I might not be able to update anytime soon.
Deklatis 10 Apr @ 8:02pm
By chance you able to make one that just lets you change all things to not have a deterioration rate? Because I option the mod options and have 4000 items and things keep freezing up lol

I have played a couple of days with it active and so far from what I can tell, there are no issues. I'll do my best to keep you appraised of any issues that may arise.
Draconian_Alpha1990 29 Jan @ 4:29am
I have it in my list of active mods. I will begin testing when I get home from work later.
AmCh  [author] 26 Jan @ 12:15am
I've made a testing version for 1.5 only [github.com]
Be warned that there may be bugs. While it should be safe to add/remove mid-save, back up your saves if you want to test it. Please let me know if you find any bugs.

我更新了一个仅限1.5的测试版 [github.com]
小心可能有BUG。虽然理应可以安全在存档中添加/移除,但还是建议备份存档。如果发现BUG还拜托告知我一下。

@Johnny
"stopping deterioration at a certain threshold" That sounds like a cool idea! Or even, the speed varies as the item progresses through deterioration.
Though that requires modifying the games' deterioration mechanic (which is a constant random chance) instead of just changing in-game numbers. So I won't do this soon, and if I do it might be a completely separate mod.
Johnny 23 Jan @ 5:09am
ok why are there almost no mods that address this, looking forward to 1.5!
also I'd like to suggest an option for stopping deterioration at a certain threshold, that would be amazing
AmCh  [author] 21 Jan @ 8:58am
Wait... I never updated this mod to 1.5?
I just realized that I forgot this after updating my other mods, my bad /w\
I will work on updating it soon-ish.
Draconian_Alpha1990 1 May, 2024 @ 4:35pm
While it is time consuming and involves a lot of clicking and scrolling, I have found a work around until this mod gets updated. If you use a Character Editor mod like the one by Void, you can go through the apparel, weapons, and other items you want to disable deterioration on and turn all their deterioration rates to 0. I have checked and can confirm that this works. And just like with this mod, anything food related will still have a 'Fresh - Spoils in X days' timer on it.

@AmCh
If you don't have the time to test it but have the time to update it, I can test it for you when I have the time myself. If not that's OK, you need to focus on completing the final exam, this can wait. I'll just store things I don't want to have deteriorate inside somewhere or at least have it on a shelf.

@Draconian_Alpha1990
It will be!
Though the update will probably come after the final exam season is over.
Draconian_Alpha1990 23 Apr, 2024 @ 8:35pm
I take it since the source code was lost due to an accident, this mod will not be updated to 1.5 then? Shame, really liked this mod since I could make it where certain things wouldn't deteriorate and just keep them outdoors. You could try the same thing you did last time, because it seems like it worked last time.

AmCh  [author] 29 Oct, 2022 @ 9:07am
Just did an "update" to the mod to 1.4.
I actually made 0 change to the mod code (because I lost the source code in an accident), and from the five minutes of testing, everything works if I just change the supported version number.
Run it at a little bit of your own risk, but it should be fine.

Sweet! I tend to edit a scenario with deterion rate set to 200-300%, but nice being able to change it mid game.
