I noticed back in the day this mod allowed soldiers to be trained to max GTS level in one step. Is there anyway to re-enable that?
Stukov81-T.TV 16 Aug @ 1:32pm
or you can simply not hit "unequip" all and just keep stuff on all your soldiers without swapping around. should make process of equipping your squad a lot faster
Soul 16 Aug @ 11:39am
The AML launcher? You can ignore it,it just say it miss a depedency,but the depedency isn't obligatory in this case
♥♥♥ war arena 16 Aug @ 10:12am
The XCOM mod launcher thing is bugging out if I don't have 'prototype armory' enabled though..
Soul 16 Aug @ 9:59am
Well good thing is you don't *have* to use it,but it will mess hard with the balance itself.
Basically both tactical and covert stuff will be real easy.
♥♥♥ war arena 16 Aug @ 9:49am
I was mistaken, it was actually 'prototype armory' that was causing al of my frustrations. Sorry...
But anyway I'm looking in 'prototype armory' mod settings and I'm not seeing anything to turn it off. I'm not concerned about lengthening the campaign, my complaint is that 'prototype armory' requires me to spend MINUTES menuing before every mission.
XpanD 15 Aug @ 10:31am
CI does lengthen the campaign by a fair bit, it's definitely not for everyone. Good substance to it though, not generally a fan of longer campaigns but I've been enjoying it a fair bit. One thing that does help is learning which missions to invest in and which to skip, I feel like it's pretty lenient there.
Zyxpsilon 15 Aug @ 4:00am
@war arena
Why not just playing without any mods then?
Even the major WOTC/DLC by Firaxis *IS* a very complex bonus to the original game.
♥♥♥ war arena 14 Aug @ 8:05pm
adds a lot of "busy work" to the gameplay, ultimately slowing down your campaign, but not quite to LongWar's degree. not really my thing.
Puro 22 Jul @ 11:24am
I just had the weirdest thing happen and i think it's related to this mod. A supply raid came up on the map but it's treated like a chosen assault on the avenger which is really weird..
Stukov81-T.TV 20 Jun @ 3:02am
if the 3rd soldier was not a typical human that may also lead to problems, but that's nothing that CI introduced either
XpanD 20 Jun @ 1:24am
Shameless plug, but you can also use the "EndBattleForceWin" console command from my mod: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3113132590

This should work in most cases where missions randomly break.
EvilBob22 19 Jun @ 7:46pm
I'm a fan of the "Surrender" mod. I rarely use it, but it comes in handy when someone is trapped with no hope of getting to the evac. (When you activate it, all soldiers that haven't already evaced are captured, and could trigger a rescue mission later.)
judcohan 19 Jun @ 6:41pm
The intel costs for expansion aren't any different from the base game, as far as I can tell. If the radio towers weren't functioning properly for you, I suspect that some other conflict was happening.

I personally use a mod to disable ambushes (there are details if you read down a bit in the comments.) But in general, losing one soldier shouldn't be that gigantic a deal.
Goozeman 19 Jun @ 4:49pm
Interesting mod, I liked the new tactical missions but the intel costs for expanding into new territory made it prohibitive. it just ignored radio towers so you pay the max possible.
An ambush mission with 3 soldiers broke my campaign, the 3rd soldier could not be moved/evac and I just gave up and uninstalled. Was fun up to that point but felt like a complete waste of time after the ambush, shame.
Soul 4 Jun @ 6:45pm
The only time I got something like that was a custom map not loading,causing an inf loading into crash,commenting the problematic map fixed it.
Beside that,+750 mods and +1k hours with Covert and never got something like that.
DAAAVE!!!! 4 Jun @ 6:11pm
Thank you so much for the answers, but I wonder is this bug common for the mod or could it still be something from my side, that I am just not getting?
Stukov81-T.TV 4 Jun @ 8:58am
you need to have the infiltration selected when using that console command.
XpanD 4 Jun @ 4:04am
Haven't tried this myself, but see if the "ForceAbortSelectedInfil" console command works here. Might save it. Make a copy of your save first.
DAAAVE!!!! 4 Jun @ 12:57am
Hello I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this problem. The game was running semi-fine before this, some crashes here and there but they'd disappear after loading up the save, but there's this infiltration mission in my campaign that seems to completely break my current save and basically soft block me. I run about 470 mods on this campaign and like I said it has been relatively smooth sailing. But the infiltration mission when I start it, it puts me to a loading screen and then the screen goes black following up with a crash. I am at a lost for options, cuz I tried almost every troubleshooting option. I also got relatively far with few saves in between on the geomap, so the infiltration mission is over 100% percent on my latest save and I can't abort it either. I would appreciate some help maybe from some people that experienced the same and fixed it and at best from the devs themselves. Thank you
JacketFarm 30 May @ 7:21pm
Whelp, got stuck on an ambush. I couldn't find where to extract, then killed all the enemies, and was stuck in an endless loop. Twas fun though, hope this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Dragon32 24 May @ 5:14pm
@GrimAtrament
It won't crash but balance will be whack
GrimAtrament 24 May @ 2:43pm
do we have to use the prototype armory?
Soul 23 May @ 2:56pm
You could've also said nothing and go on your day instead of outing yourself lmao
spackle 23 May @ 1:59pm
all these guys fighting are so pathetic haha. what are u guys like 30+ and still making up battles to fight online? lmao. cool mod though

Parts 1+2+3 = MAC isn't PC
Nothing else to waste my time with.

** GOOD BYE -- all.

@Zyxpsilon
**EXASPERATED SIGH** part3:

if YOU (or anyone!) happens to know the exact cause of the crash on a MAC, then please enlighten all of us with your knowledge, share the error in the code and the steps needed to fix it.

If you do not know the reason. Then ... "no one has ever figured out why" is still valid.

Don't call me out as "wrong" on a statement that is indeed, actually "correct".
RustyDios 8 May @ 9:17am
@Zyxpsilon
**EXASPERATED SIGH** part2:

And that is not to say that it cannot be figured out, as your next message states (summarised), just that no one has done that ... yet.

I'm also not curtailing/attacking your freedom of expression in any way either. But I am correcting YOUR false statement/information .. if YOU want to call someone out as "wrong", check your own facts first.
RustyDios 8 May @ 9:16am
@Zyxpsilon
**EXASPERATED SIGH** part1:

This round of back-and-forth between us started because YOU called me out as "wrong" on the statement of "no one ever figured out why" .... which is incorrect.

My statement was not wrong.

Yes this mod, as you stated: "PS; Astral Descend's (and gang) mod works just fine here." .. does indeed work perfectly fine .. on a WINDOWS BASED PC.
.. however my comment specifically related to this mod on a MAC iOS as was the discussion. Which has issues. Repeatably shown/manifesting as a crash around the first Retaliation mission ... and (I'll correct it so you are happy) :: "to my knowledge, thus far, no one has ever figured out why, this mod crashes, on that operating system, at that specific juncture"
Zyxpsilon 8 May @ 5:38am
@TRNEEDANAME
Bienvenue, mystérieux inconnu.
TRNEEDANAME 8 May @ 5:19am
@Zyxpsilon
pretty sure we are on Steam, and that anyone can remove messages or comments if the proper rights are given...

There isn't any freedom of expression on someone's else mod, that's basic logic.
And if you wish, I'll even say it in french so you understand it better,

"Ferme la, merci"
Zyxpsilon 3 May @ 5:40am
@Soul... Yup, that sums it all up.
Between skills and anyone's attitude(s) - if someone claims *IMPOLITELY*, I couldn't or still can't help - it's theirs from the past and even for the present.

I stepped to some 'challenge' & his weird remark - should have known *HE* again would hit and insult whatever i share or simply write online.
So F'c' him too.

Nobody has a right to attack other's "Freedom of Expression". He tried, he still fails, he will forever.

PS; Astral Descend's (and gang) mod works just fine here.
Soul 2 May @ 7:21am
Man all that to say "its possible,so just... do it"
MrCloista 2 May @ 7:10am
Aka "Cease your prattling you mewling quim"
RustyDios 2 May @ 7:08am
@Zypsilon
That's all fair and good but still doesn't answer or alter the initial phrase...
thus far, no-one has figured out why THIS mod, crashes on MAC.

If you happen to know the EXACT code line that needs fixing then please share it with us.

Otherwise, with all due respect, fuck off.
As stated repeatably, previously, in various other forms of contact, between steam and discord ::
I do not wish to have anymore dealings with you, please stop @'ing me in stuff. Continuing to do so is just abusive, stalker-like and borderline harassment.
MrCloista 2 May @ 7:03am
The only part of that you needed to say was the last bit.
Zyxpsilon 2 May @ 5:48am
@CyberVC & @Soul

Okay then... let's declare the exact method to fix such compatibility issue between PC and MAC.

Master the coding tricks of *Linux* to refine --this-- mod declarations and its custom UC class file.

Meaning, help comes from the skills someone can either find or acquire directly from the authors team of multiple other codes which already discovered a variety of proper solutions.

All i've wrote (somehow) is that knowledge is found after years of education. Coders & modders earned and/or paid + worked for these skills.

Example; My "SwappIMG" toolset mod that provides external controls of procedural hooks to GFX assets. Highly technical stuff that TWO of us had to work on together for months.

Yes, so - good luck... there ARE plenty of UC solutions in many other XC2 mods on Steams.

Like
"Both my laptops have such variable & distinct custom calibrations"

"The structural codes aren't dependant on synchronized or mutual dispatch calls --- as DEFINED by dual but still external controls."

Thats just stuff I could say like "the internal structure is repurposed to limit the integral damage of providing different values to call the calibrations needed to add compatibility"
Cyber Von Cyberus 1 May @ 10:53am
@Zyxpsilon, that wasn't an insult, we'd love to hear your insight if you think you have an idea to solve this probelm, but what you've said is simply incomprehensible and full of made up terms.
Zyxpsilon 1 May @ 5:01am
@Dragon32 (only and not RustyDios) for this specific comment...

Gee man, are you trying to insult my communicating ability in perfecto snobby British English?

You are '''almost''' right.. because in Québec/Canada some (me also) of us are born as Francophone with EXTREME pride of our cultural origins.
And -- being bilingual in North America is a must.

Soooooooo;
Por Favor, Niet -- Irogato.
Is this reply polite enough for a vast majority of highly variable incognito readers here and online??
;)

*** Peace on Earth and let's hope together "hate" will stop for eternity. ***

Gracias. Got that?

@Zyxpsilon
I understand the individual words you use, but the phrases and the whole? That's just gibberish.
Zyxpsilon 30 Apr @ 4:54am
@RustyDios,

Quote; ** no one ever figured out why **

Wrong...
Firaxis developped XCom as a (---/PC\---) OS with a few indirect provisions for critical (minimal) compatibility MAC factors.

The structural codes aren't dependant on synchronized or mutual dispatch calls --- as DEFINED by dual but still external controls.

Then, the whole trick for modders is to TRY adapting any if not all booting conflits. Both my laptops have such variable & distinct custom calibrations.
RustyDios 30 Apr @ 1:18am
load order for xcom2 doesn't really matter and isn't controllable by the player much anyway

this mod has always had issues on a MAC unfortunately (same as LWotC), no one ever figured out why, but it has something to do with internal file structure of the MAC vs Windows versions.. the crash happens normally after or during the first retaliation. Yet there is nothing code wise that should make it happen. :( one of the mysteries of xcom2 modding :(
Austere Hare 30 Apr @ 12:35am
there was a time, i had the load order right, and couldplay without any crashes, but i uninstalled and cannot for the life of me find that load order. :steamfacepalm:
Stukov81-T.TV 29 Apr @ 11:55pm
this mod has always had issues with mac. afaik a solution has never been found
Austere Hare 29 Apr @ 9:38pm
this mod has stopped working for me. What is the load order? i play on a mac and cannot run the advanced mod loader thing.
