use better vents and better coolers (linked in the description of this mod) for now if you want the same functionality (aside from lampposts)

Owlchemist stated (on their Kofii) that they would be returning to work on their mods "soon" so we'll just have to be patient. As for the content of this mod, only the wall lights are obsolete for 1.5 so the remaining features would be:

-Overwall vents and coolers
-Wall mounted heaters
-Fencepost lights

Just wanted to share that while this mod doesn't break anything with 1.5 version, it creates a bug where lights (such as vanilla wall lights and bedside table lamps) do not work. They will be connected to a conduit; however, the light can not be toggled on or it will show it isn't receiving power from the conduit.

@Gerewoatle - I am fairly sure I've seen recent posts by Owlchemist, but maybe not here in Rimworld. Hopefully they will return for 1.5 though. Speaking of which

@Owlchemist - Do you plan on updating to 1.5 before, or after launch?

Incidentally, the mod does not appear to have any issues with 1.5 (if you discount the wall light now being obsolete) Unlike SU Ceiling which is horribly broken..

@justinajones79: Owlchemist has been MIA for months now, so I wouldn't put off playing purely for the hope of their mods being updated.

For what it's worth, the upcoming Vanilla Temperature Expanded seems to cover everything this mod does except for the fencepost lights (and wall lights are in the base game in 1.5).

Those of you having issues with blueprints vanishing, I'm guessing there is some other mod causing the problem. I have tried to replicate the issue by testing for it extensively with just Owlchemist's Simple Utilities: Wall installed, and have yet to see this occur even once.

This probably explains why there has been no "fix" update. There is no issue in the mod to fix

The light's dont seem to be producing enough light for my grow room to be working. I don't know why the lights from the last mod I used worked and the ones from this one don't, is this a bug?

Still having the blueprint issue when you place a wall light next to a door. It disapears after a few seconds and it will stay when you prioritize it, however as soon as someone opens the door it automatically disappears.

Yeah it's pretty much all the wall utilities - the placed blueprints disappear when placed next to a door and the door opens.

After looking at my game again, it's only happening around doors like other commentors said. Not sure if it's going through the door or the cleaning action now. lol

Every time I try to install a wall heater, the blueprint disappears unless I force a pawn to build it immediately. It appears that cleaning near it erases the blueprint? Not sure if it's a mod conflict or what.

@failpail. You can definitely place them in the same spot, you just have to wait for the first one to be built, then place the second.

I heard this wall light is less laggy than the wall light mod, but i can't seem to place two lights on a single wall, is this intentional?

@Pille that's vanilla game. 50% is standard lit room. 100% is 'growing plants' lighting. Only sunlamps provide 100%. 50% is considered daylight for moving/working and is equal to outdoors minus growing plants.

There is an issue right now with vents coolers and I assume anything else from this mod where if its next to a door it will vanish when that door is used, so for now, just stop everyone moving about and force build the light, once its there its fine.

In the last picture, there is a Wall Light on both sides of the wall. If I try to place a second Wall Light on the other side of a wall however, the first Wall Light disappears. How do you achieve having two Wall Lights on both sides of a wall?

Second question: my wall lights are really dim, I only get 50% light from them. I think with the Wall Lights mod, that was higher. Is this intentional?

Really often I put blueprints for wall lights and they just disappear after a few seconds. It just happpen in a few places.

Just stating that I get the odd vent frame removal when next to a door bug as well, Also I do have replace stuff, but it looks like someone below has done all the legwork in figuring out most of the issue. Is this fixable or a hard incompatibility with replace stuff, dont have the issue with the standard "better vents" mod.

Is it possible to have a way to turn off all wall heaters at once? Or would the only way be to manually go to each one after winter and turn them off?

Is there a way to enable Light Radius display when placing wall lights, like the standalone wall light mod does? I don't want to have to install that mod and this one at the same time

Don't know if it was noted/reported, but if you deconstruct the wall while there is a vent/heater/light/whatever, the wall appliance disappears and no resources are refunded.
However, if you first deconstruct the appliance, then it all acts as normal. Is this something you can fix ? Either the appliance does not disappear or is counted with the wall deconstruction/deconstruction is first done on the appliance ?

Dont see this particularity noted in the mod description/issues.

Glitch: I literally cannot build a cooler. I place the blueprint on the wall, and any time anyone even walks by, the blueprints vanishes. Even if the builder gets to it first, the blueprint vanishes. Doesn't even waste any resources, just disappears like I never placed it.

In conclusion the situation seems dependent on the vent's orientation, when RS is enabled. The blueprints tend to disappear when the orientation that can be built on forbidden areas of the wall are placed on the walls.
