Never, these separate modules were my first dive into modding, as I got better I merged all the independent mods into one large mod, this would be Edo themed Expansion, it has the armor, buildings, and other modules in one, with newer textures and more content.

These are unlisted mods that are left up only for those who used them in their saves. I understand it could be upsetting, if you only want the armor and not the buildings or weapons, but I won't be updating these older single mods anymore.

Yes, there is a good chance I will do something along those lines. If you have not already I'd advise checking the link at the top since this mod has been merged into a new one, where all the future updates will go.

That's already kinda in T's samurai faction, he's got Ninja pawns and proper tag support for armor distribution!

The samurai faction could be considered a shinobi faction and within it can have several types of squads (samurais and ninjas).

A shinobi faction would be cool, or maybe like a permit to call a shinboi squad added to an existing faction. But that's all a bit out of my league in terms of coding right now, although I might add some Shinobi themed armor some day.

@Uboa, ive tested and replicated your problem, my mod doesn't cause this. It is T's Samurai Faction that does it. I'm going to report this to that mods author.

What helmet? Do you mean the Hitai-ate, or one of the straw hats? cause this mod doesnt add any armored samurai helmets

seems like the samurai helmet from this mod overrides the prestige marine helmet variant, not sure if intentional but i liked the cool futuristic look of the prestige samurai helmet

Ah no, I have not patched support for modded crafting tables. But it can be crafted from crafting spots, so if you are using any overhauls that remove base tables that is always there. Thank you for the report and the kind words, means alot.

No, I do not use SVA. But I found, what is the problem - in the tune table from another mod, Medieval Overhaul. The strawcloak is not crafted on this table. And I tried to avoid using vanilla "modern" analogues. =) Once again, thanks for the mod! Looks good.

I assume you mean the crafting doesn't work? During my vanilla and modded tests it worked fine, are you using Stuffable Vanilla Armor? That breaks crafting for some reason, any mod that does a similar thing could presumable do the same.

Well you're in luck, after studying the code of people who actually know what they are doing, I managed to get a fix; All straw related items(the hats and cloak) now use hay in their crafting.

I'd be really interested in trying this, but I will wait until it uses hay for the straw. Your in-game sprites look really good though!

Using hay as a crafting recipe killed the game, for clarification. Although it was probably a coding goof on my behalf.

Yeah I gave that a go, it actually killed the whole game for me, and when it didn't it just would craft the item. Maybe I'll give it another try, thanks for the tip though.

Yeah, I was surprised no one did one yet, I've been away for a while and figured it must have been done by now but nope.

I'll try not to go too deep into clothing since yours are pretty rad. Like I wont do the hakama and stuff like that. Mine will prob be basic and I've listed most of what I'm planning on my page. I might ditch some clothing ideas since they are annoying to do. Also if you want straw stuff I did mine using <hay>25<hay>

It's a really undersaturated market for RimWorld modding, I can count all samurai themed mods on one hand. Excited to see your faction mod progress, I've been needing an actual samurai faction to fight in my playthroughs.

Sweet to see more samurai mods! I'm in the process of adding clothing to my mod too, just finished like 9 statue designs and coded all the armor.

Take that with a grain of salt however, as I have not tested it myself.

It's not tagged as a 1.2 mod, but it SHOULD work fine, just ignore the warning.

I do have a hakama planned. It's just slower to make since body sets require much more work then hats.
