Personally I've always got better results with Inverted Winger/Support role so tend to go with that. It will still work with Inside Forward I reckon but I wouldn't putting both the LW and RW on Attack as the Full Backs are also both on Attack. Usually this causes the opposition team to score easily on counter attacks down the wings. Give it a try tho if you like mate, let me know how you get on.
I've tested it on two saves so far and it works brilliantly with both teams. I'm 10 games into the Premier League season with Derby County and I'm currently sitting in the top 6. So yes, it looks as if it still works very nicely into the second season and beyond.
