Anyone else had this not only remove the doors, but break them too?
Would love a fix, 'cause it's driving me nuts.

Doesn't seem to work with whatever method Interactive Doors uses to remove doors blown off their hinges, still seeing inactive areaportals in HL2 maps.

Strange. I deleted a door yesterday on GM_Construct_Vingret, and the area portal stuck around... I reconnected to my server today, found the same door with the areaportal still present, cleaned up the map and then deleted the door again... This time the area portal vanished after about a second. Not sure why that happened.

Updated it, should be good, I stopped getting the double-spawn on my end. It seems like saving/loading is a little bugged on the beta branch currently regardless though (maybe main branch also, didn't check, idk), so be careful.

yeah i only had ragdolls enabled and i was loading a save specifically with that, and isolated all my legacy and other addons as well. literally just 5 packs of ragdolls and a save and this addon and it caused that weird stuff.
i don't download server-related things and i spent several hours whittling it down to just this addon so yeah

It seems like loading saves is a little broken/jank on this current branch even with the addon disabled, the functionality seems weird, like when you cleanup the map, it treats it as though you are reloading the save. Potentially may be intentional, but is still weird and janky. The double spawning is definitely something relating to my addon though, hopefully it is only a more recent bug caused by whatever update made the save loading jank LOL, I'll figure it out

HMM, I am getting the bug in my testing as well after tweaking the code, although it only seems to happen when I make a save and then load that same save after, not any other times I load it, interesting, I'll look into it some more

It could theoretically be a conflict with something editing the entity meta table in a sloppy way; I'll update it real quick to make that possible conflict pretty much impossible. If it is still jank, then I'd recommend clearing your server downloads as there might be some funky script(s), etc in there interacting fuckishly with it.

So it doesn't happen when the addon is disabled? Weird. What kind of models are you talking about? Ragdolls, props, just everything in general? Just to give you an idea of what the code does, it has a check not to even run anything at all when the map is being cleaned, so it shouldn't be doing anything during a save load to begin with, and even if it did, all it would do at-most is mess up the areaportals since all it does is check when a door entity is being removed (with an explicit check for only 3 relevant entity types), and if their class matches, then the only thing that happens is that their areaportal is opened up, and its connection to any slave doors is broken, no entity is being created/removed in the process.

Hmm, I'll take a look at the code, it actually doesn't run in the background though constantly from what I recall but only when an entity is removed, and there isn't really anything in it that would result in an entity being created, so it could very well perhaps be some weird janky server script that is stuck in your files somewhere, maybe it is interacting strangely with the addon, etc, but I'll double check and see

encountering a pretty major issue with this addon where loading saves with models in them end up getting duplicated in the same position they were saved in and this causes slowdown. i've isolated everything and it appears that enabling only this addon causes the duplication (this is after siphoning all my direct addons from the equation).
since it claims to only fix doors i'd like to bring it to your attention as it appears to be running unruly in the background.

Hey, this mod's been a huge help in eliminating annoying hiccups during games. You may care to know that gm_blesmont seems to use a method with its double doors that doesn't respond to this addon, one specific location being the back doors of the gas station. I haven't encountered any voids elsewhere since I started using this addon, so it's entirely possible that Blesmont just uses a highly unusual method.

i don't get this exact error but i get something similar where its just a transparent thing
(there is nothing there and you cant see the map through it) and when you step through it goes into the next area but this only occours when the door is deleted (its a lag removal trick)

Hello, when i destroy the door with such things as explosives from Jmod, the fix doesn't apply, it may be because the door eventually respawn. If you want to know, the map i was using was rp_oviscity_gmc5
