Soon this will prove obsolete with the addition of IAR 99, still it's a jumpjet and the IAR 99 won't be a jumpjet.

I prefer you to add flares because flares avoid the aircraft getting hit by missile

If you want speed in cost of fuel consumption just configure the jet controller to a higher rps
