imagine going to a reskin mod and complaining its not what you want. Crazy @Xekuter
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 1. okt. 2023 kl. 0:27
You can see when this mod was updated the last time.
Didn't changed anything.
Xekuter 30. sep. 2023 kl. 23:19
Did you make changes to this mod and the skins? My Wrath of Sparta campaign won't load that I was using this mod
Xekuter 2. maj 2023 kl. 18:44
Thanks for the mod! Looks great and I love when modders make un-historical armors! That's what modding is all about! I don't know why people complain about historically accurate.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 4. okt. 2021 kl. 0:39
The mod does not need any requirements and should work for campaign and custom battles, maybe not workable in the Wrath of Sparta campaign.
I updated the mod to match the current game version but that should do nothing....
Lizard 3. okt. 2021 kl. 13:42
I'd also like to add that i love the redesign.
Lizard 3. okt. 2021 kl. 13:41
Is this mod for campain only, does it require another mod or does it need to be updated?
Cuz i did not work for me.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 21. aug. 2021 kl. 6:38
Well thanks for the feedback but:
- I never stated that it is historical and it is just a reskin version on an exsicting mod
- this mod was created a long time before the dlc was released
- "I don't like this mod" is really subjective - I accept your opinion - but a negative comment because of this is not really nice, subjective does not mean costructive - if you get my point

Anyway have fun playing Rome 2!
aleks07burza 21. aug. 2021 kl. 6:26
I don't like this mod because this is not the corinthian helmet from Wrath of sparta and the helmet is black instead of bronze.it would also be nice if you made it historical:steamthumbsdown:

RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 10. jan. 2019 kl. 21:13
Thanks
JOEY897 10. jan. 2019 kl. 14:35
dang, its just such an awesome usnit mod haha
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 29. dec. 2018 kl. 12:39
Sorry but that is not possible because of two ways. Number one I need his permission to "copy" his idea - that is obviously not that problem. But number two I had all hands full with creating and testing mods for TW:Warhammer 2 so that I have no time left for upgrading outdated content.
Maybe in a few month or so but currently as I said I dont have the time.
Im sorry for that.
JOEY897 29. dec. 2018 kl. 10:50
Is there any chance you could do a stand alone mod instead of a reskin? Penguinius isnt going to update their version anymore :(
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 16. okt. 2018 kl. 2:53
I created this for the grand campaign but it can effect the wrath of sparta campaign too (not entierly sure about that sorry)
76561198343414756 16. okt. 2018 kl. 2:39
is this for wrath of sparta of grand campeign
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 14. sep. 2018 kl. 0:45
I think you are not really in modding right. It is one thing to create a new appereance (hopefully spelling right xD) but a completely other to retexture the used model. In this case the helmets arent textured by a simple table or faction/uniform color, the color comes from its image-file. Dont get me wrong I now to edit them but for a mod that is more than 4 years out now I will not make such big changes.
Im sorry but I hope you get my point here.
Blade 13. sep. 2018 kl. 15:58
Hello author. For this mod, I only wish you could change the helmets' color from white back to red. The original white is really shining my eyes, which made me a little headache and nervous.
Sorry and thank your hard-work!
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 8. maj 2018 kl. 3:39
No problem - we all have the same opinion. Spartans/-greeks without shoes... what the hell.
Fatherz 8. maj 2018 kl. 3:38
Thanks for the mod tip, man!
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2018 kl. 8:17
This mod should give the Spartan their shoes back. And it should be fully compatible with my mod. If not please write it so i can fix that. https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=367294540&searchtext=shoes
Fatherz 7. maj 2018 kl. 4:24
OK, what mod do I need to give the Spartans those sandals?

Also, if it says that I need the Wrath of Sparta DLC, I don't have that yet.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2018 kl. 2:31
The barefoot thing can be solved ba a mod (this issue comes with the Wrath Of Sparta expanison).
Fatherz 7. maj 2018 kl. 2:26
Well, this is the only reskin mod I'm using right now, though I'm also using Sebidee's Roman Roster Expansion and the BluB mod.

I did test the Spartans in a Custom Battle with this reskin mod on, though the Spartan Pikemen, Hoplites and Royal Spartans still seem to be barefoot (even though the armor is different). I dunno if I have to adjust the graphics settings or something. More testing is in order.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 7. maj 2018 kl. 1:10
Sorry but I dont now. This mod changes the apperience of the Spartan units. So every mod that changes their variants too may not be working or overwriting this one. In the same direction it is possible that this one overwrites the other ones so you have to check. (Or you give me the link and I have a look)
Fatherz 6. maj 2018 kl. 22:20
Does this mod also work with levied Spartan units? (Made a satrapy of Sparta while playing as Rome.)

I know Spartans are supposed to be these badass warriors, but fighting barefoot? That's the only thing that bugged me with their vanilla skins.
mncb1o 17. mar. 2018 kl. 19:23
Really surprised I didn't find this sooner. Absolutely amazeballs my dude
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 27. jan. 2018 kl. 2:12

mod is up to date now
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 1. dec. 2017 kl. 1:20
Currently testing compatibility with power & politics and Empire Divided.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 15. nov. 2017 kl. 0:16
the pictures show only the spartan hoplites, the spartan royal guard and the spartan heroes. but in this mod all spartan units are reskinned. if you like to see all units you have to play a custom battle with them or look to the original mod that i have linked to in the description.
thanks for your feedback.
emerald10005 14. nov. 2017 kl. 18:11
Good stuff! Are all the spartan units reskinned the same as the images or no?

KozakWarrior 20. juni 2015 kl. 21:33

RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 21. maj 2015 kl. 10:14
ok good luck for you and your mod
AquilaESP 21. maj 2015 kl. 7:15
thank you, I have been fortunate that this message has read two modders and joined my mod to help :)
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 21. maj 2015 kl. 0:42
you can check the names of the "variants" (this is the true name) with the pack file manager, below "data_rome2.pack" -> "db" -> "variant_tables" -> "variants" here you can find all vanilla variants off the game, often named like the unit (IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING IN THIS SECTION) when you named your own variant, in your own mod like this you want from the list, this one from the list will overwrite, of course only when your mod is active. I think that is it, hope it will work, when not tell me and of course tell me if it work.
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 21. maj 2015 kl. 0:42
English is not my native language, i hope you understand me, it is a bit difficult to explain:
you have to create a new mod with the pack file manager and add your XXXXXX.VariantMeshDefinition to it, nearer information below:
If you not have done it: create in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data a new file called variantmeshes, in it you create a folder and named this one varianrmeshdefinitions, and in this folder you copy all your variants, that you would like see in-game
[you should find your variants at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\assembly_kit\working_data\VariantMeshes\VariantMeshDefinitions ( i currently see you can copy the folder "VariantMeshes" and paste it at the location from a few lines ago)]
RedDragon0908  [ophavsmand] 21. maj 2015 kl. 0:15
First off all, i do not know how far you currently are, but you say you have your own textures/designs, than you have to name them like the textures of the unit you would change
AquilaESP 20. maj 2015 kl. 9:17
Hello, I need your help, I made a reskin of some units with the assembly kit and do not know what I have to do to make the reskin appears me in the game, the files of the units have them put the name with the units the tweak, please tell me I have to do now where I put those files or I do with them?
Godking KJ 24. aug. 2014 kl. 20:35
OMG THANKYOU SOME MUCH!!! It bothered me so much how gay they looked with their metal top hats
doyouwannabuyarabbit 18. aug. 2014 kl. 10:47
