@darthprimus123 So i looked into it on the wiki & asked an informative friend of mine that has waaaay more modding experience than myself and yes u can give a country more than 2 traditions/1 ambition BUT I would have to mod that specific country. (For example Ireland has 2 bonuses for its ambition in vanilla) I don't think i can add more slots on the custom country maker, but I asked my friend and am waiting to hear back...

@dathprimus123 so you want a country that has more than 2 traditions, 7 ideas, & 1 ambition. Hmm i will have to look into that & get back to you. One reason it may not be possible to have more than 7 national ideas is the way they are unlocked. Each regular idea you research gives you 1/3 of a national idea & i think that is hard coded meaning no one can change that with a mod. So if i added an 8th idea it would prob just stay unlocked. As for traditions & ambitions i know that you can't change those numbers from the Defines file but i'll ask around & let you know.

is there a way to expand the ideas tab in the nation designer...
I want to add more ideas, ambitions and traditions to my own custom nations, you see, and I have been trying hard to find a mod that does just that but am struggling to find one.

If / when at all possible, can you please make a mod that expands the national ideas tab.

just a heads up, don't know if you have been told or not but when you add the female adviser chance, it doesn't allow you to go to 100% like in base game and it isn't free at all which it normally is. going along with that line, the ability to have female generals isn't free either. other than that I haven't noticed any issues so far

Great id love to show the glitch its ruined some promising runs. 1) no, your mod is the only one running. 2) I'm unaware if the glitch happens at random or not but reloading seems to trigger it.( the situation that I've encountered this is in a random nation set up with random development.)(( we can talk more privetly in a group chat on this)).

@Ares1war 1st is my mod the only mod you're using? 2nd id have to replicate the issue to see whats going on. I only changed a few files which are under (i think) common/ideas/custom_nations. This mod only changes the numbers in that file. So instead of 10% it reads 25% etc... message me and i will help u as much as i can!

I've come across a bug that hard crashes me every time i try and do a random nation run i was wondering if it was something you could possibly fix.

@Leviathan I know they are OP that's what the mod was intended to do. You don't need to pick the very best option though and u can limit yourself by only using 200/400 points. If you want to get just regular +5%/+10% upgrades then you can use the base games numbers which are typically level 1.

dude... some of these are horribly overpowered...
yearly professionalism +40% is essentialy infinite manpower-.-
make it 0,4% and its fair(-ish)
admin efficieny is also very strong

and dont get me started on how powerful flat shock and power modifiers to units are in early game...

Regarding compatibility, this mod is almost perfect. Meanwhile the breakthrough on the specific data is excited! The only problem maybe the limitation of 100 amounts of custom nations, which makes me a little frustrated. However, five stars!

A new update for the mod is out today (July 17th 2021). It fixes a few little issues like one idea going to level 10 but it's a yes or no idea. And I changed around a few numbers to better balance some ideas. Hope everyone enjoys & I would love to hear all feedback, good or bad.

Hi There srctimber, just finished re-downloading the mod. Fired up the game and still cant see any higher level ideas, only (lol) 2 colonists, 2 levels of amin efficency etc. If its working for you maybe im doing something wrong, ill keep fiddling with it.

Should this work with extended timeline ? After a bit of mucking about ive got that mod and this mod enabled in my launcher. Extennded timeline is working ok, I see the splash screen when the game loads saying "extended timeline" but I can see no trace of this mod. In fact im asking, but when I remove extended timeline and leave just this mod enabled I still dont see any changes from this mod. Most of the national ideas cant be upgraded beyond level 2 (same as vanilla).

@Apollo The Lost- and the CK3 mod uses a hidden game icon that is an actual wheel of cheese, it even glows blue instead of red/green
