Oh, Argòn and I are willing to start a collaboration soon. Maybe it will be involved about merging our Salads Mods too, we'll see.
Meanwhile, since I'm planning to return to do Rimworld modding, I think I will update this mod too soon. I haven't done it before because I noticed Argòn's mod was more used than mine. I've taken account of all your reports, don't worry, so when I will update it I will do a good job!
thanks for supporting it so far :)
First and foremost, I'll ask you sorry for haven't mantained this mod. I'm currently heavily involved with my work and I couldn't find time to go to the XML and fix the code.
As second...
As you noticed, RimWorld has just updated to 1.5 version. Since this mod hasn't RimWorld graphics and I think most of users are using Argon's Salads mod, I'm not planning to update this mod to version 1.5 right now.
The reason is that I don't think this mod is used by so many people in their playthroughs.
But if you're still interested to play with this mod enabled, please let me know in the comments and if you will be enough I'll do my best to properly fix and update this mod, and I hope to improve it if possible (no promises by me, it's a remote possibility).
Thanks for understanding and subscribed this mod so far.
Yeah, another user has noticed that issue some time ago. I'm currently working on the development of another project and unfortunately I can't mantain this mood as well as I used to do, but when I'll manage to have some time I'll fix every issue that you have spotted.
Please apologize me until this moment and be patient, I'll fix and improve this mod ASAP. Thanks for understanding.
My olives have low nutritional value, so they aren't good in cooking. They are primarly used to make my personal condiment "olive oil".
VPE olives are normal raw food, with standard nutritional value.
Salads for VCE has just been updated to version 1.4
Enjoy
Soon this mod will be updated to version 1.4, I'll do the update ASAP.
Thank you for your waiting.
Looks like when a pawn chooses his meal, it consider various parameters, such as nutritional value and mood buffs/debuffs.
Testing the mod in my games, it turned out that pawns ate pemmican and even smoked meat (VFE - Medieval) rather than salads. This could be annoying for players who don't create custom food policies and stuff.
However, the mood buff I setted is very low, and basing on my testing results I'm considering to furtherly lower it to avoid easy exploits. Balancing is, alas, a tricky thing to be done sometimes.
Or may be Argon may give permission to use their art but I doubt that.
In a previous update I deleted the cereal salad mix, and I forgot to update the normal salad mix's recipe.
I'll fix this in a while. Thanks for your warning.
Some things like descriptions and balancing are still to be made, but for now you have a new crop and a new condiment. Enjoy it.
Keep up the good work, fam. <3
Since you're not the only one that has asked me this, I'll submit a mod where "healthy" hediff will be replaced. Check out the workshop in next hour, I'm going to start working right now.
(P.S: If I don't post anyhing in the next 24 hours is because I'm having some problem with my PC).
For now, all I can do is to submit a copy of the mod without the "healthy" hediff.
But I still didn't understand what do you mean for "playing without hediffs". Please, tell me: do you want a hediff like grills (-25% to -35% hunger rate multiplier), or no hediffs at all?
This looks great though, thanks
This mod will be updated on Tuesday, 20, instead of Monday, 19. There's also some fix that's going to come. Most important, a fix to Fine, Lavish and Gourmet salads.
I forgot to set a min Cooking skill for recipes, as it is for vanilla meals. So I will set it in next update, along with compatibility with Rimworld 1.3 and other.
Here's the last chance to make plenty of Lavish salads with your "level 2 cooks". Don't miss it.
Anyway, in the next update I will put also this in:
-Salad mixes x5;
Bear in mind that as I will expand this mod (not this days, sorry), i will also fix Lavish and Gourmet salad recipes to be a bit more difficult to craft, for balancing reasons. For now, however, I will do just the updates above mentioned. Just a little tip for the future...
I hope you will enjoy this mod, as well as other players.
I was mean that it will not work with chronic hediffs . Those ones added by Vanilla Cooking Expanded, like diabetes or high blood pressure , that are given by eating certain foods like desserts or deep-fried food.
Vanilla Cooking Expanded's "toggle button" works only with its own chronic hediffs. Other chronic hediffs (I repeat, those ones that a pawn gains by eating certain foods and meals) added by mods like this one can't be disabled.
As conclusion, If a mod works with Vanilla Cooking Expanded, it will continue to work even with this mod installed. This mod just adds four new meals and a new health condition. It has a dependency to VCE because it uses part of its code.
You can find the salad mixes recipe in the cooking stove (either fueled or electric). There are two types of salad mix:
-Vegetables salad mix (0.25 raw vegetarian, not corn or rice);
-Cereal salad mix (5 units of rice or corn);
When you crafted some of them, you can cook your fine/lavish/gourmet salads.
You can use one or the other of them, for now. I'm going to fix some recipe that I wrote bad.
By the way, if you want to know what ingredients you need in game, for all recipes, you can try the following mod:
Common sense
Again thanks a lot, test.
Comments section is becoming cluttered due to this topic, so if you like it i would like to move on to the discord/discussion workshop forum.
I'm gonna create a topic named "Help with images". Maybe someone else could help me.
Anyway, thanks for all. You deserved a place in "special thanks" section of this mod. If not now, check it on next days, when I will (for sure) update it.
Anyway, thanks (again) a lot.
For screenshots it's ok, I will work ASAP about it at my best, even if my best is really bad...
About the toggle... I think Vanilla Cooking Expanded has an option about it. I don't know, however, if it works even on added health-condition. If it's not, it will require some coding, which I (for now) can't do it. In case i will eventually publish a mod with no health conditions or something like grills meal-type. Which one do you prefer?
Finally, I never used Variety Matters, so I will start some testing. But maybe it's not possible to create recipes with "duplicated" categories (example: for "fine salad", "0,25 vegetarian" and "0.25 vegetarian"). I remember that was not possible, that's why I used the salad mix system. Howewer, I will try again, maybe I'm wrong, but I can't promise nothing about it, sorry.
