I think that if one absorbs the other when it's almost dead would be really cool, and with that restores some hp and gains the attacks from the other, like the twin demons from dark souls that when one dies the other absorbs it's power and attacks.
but I think that this was going to need a great amount of work

I think this boss needs to be reworked, cadetpirx's idea is good and I suggest you could also add some Gemini's elements.

My Idea - Black Damned Twins:Inspired by T Jacob's Birthright effect.
Jake:His charged dash attack is replaced spitting a dark ball that chases the player.
Jewel:Her attacks are changed also
Phase 1:Her dash attack leaves slowing creep
Phase 2(After Jake dies):Her flame attack is replaced with shooting 2 dark balls horizontally,these dark balls use soul suckers' death attacks.

i thought the dark see-saw boss used the direct sprites for him, meaning any mod that edits him edits the twin as well lol

when i released this mod, i've edited a dark shesau spritesheet for jewel, and apparently i stole the design of dark shesau without consent, i basicaly then forced myself to change jewel's design to just another dark esau resprite.

There are leftover vanilla files in gfx/ui/boss/, specifically the VS sprite and the Gehenna boss spot.

Like the boss but it's quite easy for Gehenna tbh
