Thank you for your work, bro. I have a question to ask you. Regarding the helicopter, I created a helicopter using the garage, but the person who gets in can't exit the helicopter, and the mission can't be completed. Is there any way to solve this

I've no idea why but when I reach the LZ to drop the squads off, they dont leave the chopper, they just sit there until I off them myself lol. Aside from that slight hiccup it's a fun scenario.

if i ever bother finishing the update i was working on ill add that. was creating more dynamic missions with CAS missions, taking out convoy missions, logistics missions, etc. when i was in the middle of working on it the PC i used at the time crashed and after getting a new setup i never really got back into finishing things up.

ill consider sorting it out.

Is there a way to make the squads spawn in the LZ perimeter? Not smack dab in the center (specially on helipads).

(Runs this scenario in zues to use with all CDLC aircraft) Yup, looks good to me. The script bases off of how many seats your current vic has that isn't crew based, it works pretty well. You could even take a fixed wing, provided you could land it, and it just works. I appreciate that.

Any body know why my AI is not getting out when doing a transport mission? I'm running some AI mods so that might be the main issue, but I'm wondering if anybody had this issue and fixed it, thanks.

How do you listen to and use the radio in this scenario? I noticed it was is the refuel,rearm and repair area but how do you listen to it while playing the scenario?

I would only like to see one change: The addition of an armed Cayuse to act as escort to a Huey if playing multiplayer.

So, you have the UH-1B Slick, Two OH-6 Cayuse's, a UH-1C Heavy Hog, One UH-34D Seahorse, one UH-34 Stinger Varient of the Seahorse, One UH-1C Hog, One UH-1C Gunship, One UH-1C ARA, and then all of the Vietnamese helicopters. So you do have a Slick, but there's no UH-1D, the bigger Huey. The UH-1B slick, has 4 passenger seats, where as the 1D varient, has around 11, i'd have to go into the editor to check the exact number but its around that.

No UH-1D Slick? Should add that version in, has more passenger seats as well as the two m60's. Unless im just blind, i think you only put the UH-1B and the UH-1C's

The LZ I meant was lz51, tried it in the editor, seems to be possible with the Cayuse but everything bigger then that will get destroyed from the trees.

Sadly I do not remember the grid of the LZ. But it was a dense forrest with the next road 100 Meters or so away. When I encouter it again I will comment it.

Hm, which files? I removed a few files when I updated this mission because I found better ways of doing it, but I am quite sure I also removed those from precompfile.sqf.

Not entirely sure what you mean with spawning in the jungle, there are a few landing zones that are in very small openings in the jungle, I put those there because it is good practice to land in tight areas. They should all be possible to land in though.

The AI should spawn right on top of the LZ and then be spread by a few meters between themselves, I cant really see how they would end up in the forest. Possibly it has to do with the AI being engaged by enemy AI and for some reason pushing forward into the forest?

And I took a look at your github. Is it possible that there are files missing? in the precompile.sqf are a lot of files listed which are not in the github.

Thanks for the mission, very nice for training. Only problem is that the ai sometimes spawns inside the forrest. Maybe give the option to quit tasks, so faulty missions can be scipt.

Ive been working a little bit on adding attack missions and logistics missions to this map but kinda lost interest. Logistics would just be lifting boxes etc and deliver instead of soldiers to practice towing and attack missions were going to be a couple of different types, attack base, provide CAS for allies under attack, attack a random group of enemy units, and destroy a convoy.

i might finish it up if theres enough interest in it or if i get inspired to work around with arma missions again

Shyoto I fixed this bug. For some reason on the first respawn the "Request mission" prompt would not appear.
It will now always appear (roughly 1.5 seconds after you have respawned).

Many other bugs also fixed.

"Default" parameters (I changed nothing, just loaded the scenario straight in). Request a mission, fly to the pick-up point, grab the dudes. En route to the drop-off point, I crash doing something silly and kill everyone on board - task fails.
Me and the helicopter respawn back at base, but there is no option to Request Mission again, until I either kill myself or hit respawn - then it works as normal again.

Small update.
Changed the repair/rearm/refuel to use the same module as what is used in Mike Force. You can now change your heli loadout etc.

Tweaked how spawning vehicle crew works, they will now be correctly added to the players group.

Tweaked how removing crew works, it will now remove the player group which means it will no longer remove passengers (aka the units spawned by missions)

What helicopter are you flying?

The OH6 Cayuse only have one passenger slot (pilot, co pilot, door gunner, passenger) which means that if you fly the OH6 it will only spawn one person to pick up as you cannot fit any more than that in your helicopter.

If you instead fly the UH-1 Slick for example it will spawn 4 soldiers to pick up as it have 4 passenger seats. (pilot, co pilot, 2 door gunners, 4 passengers)

When playing the mission please choose "Restart" instead of "Resume" when you're hosting it if that is an option. This will reduce risk of problems.

Have not found a consistent way to reproduce the bug reported in comments here. I played multiple times doing around 10 missions each time with no problem.

A workaround to squad not ejecting (this _might_ have been solved since I changed squad ejection behavior) is to use the "remove crew" command to empty your helicopter, this will fail the current mission.

A workaround to a squad not mounting is first to try and lift the heli and move a few meters, sometimes arma ai is wonky. If this does not work you could see if killing the squad will fail you the mission and you can then just get on to a new mission.

Updated.

Changes in this patch include tweaks to AI ejection which should make them behave a bit more like human players would. You can now drop the AI off by hovering at a maximum of around 1.5 meters (from bottom of heli to ground, the indicator might display this as around 3-4 meters) over the LZ and they will eject. This allows for faster drop offs in hot LZ's (and might fix some previous ejection issues).

Hopefully fixed issue when it comes to LZ's on top of roofs. If you have issues with AI not ejecting on a building I recommend landing as close to the building as you can but on the ground as a workaround.

Added a minimum distance to next mission so you cant have a mission spawn literally on top of you.

Fixed the repair/rearm/refuel stations.

yeah I noticed the issue with the repair pads, ill push an update in a little bit to sort that out. will play it for a bit myself to see if i can repeat the issue with missions not being able to be requested and squads not disembarking.

you can always use the "Remove Crew" option, this should also delete your passengers and fail you the mission, if you have issues with stuck passengers.

Ive found I had to restart the server in order to get some squads to disembark. They usually dont disembark when I request a mission and have "Assign missions automatically" enabled in perimeters.

Also, the repair pads don't seem to work.

Additionally, I lose the ability to request missions after about 3-5 successful drops and have to restart the server to be able to do missions again. Sometimes, respawning vehicles allows me to request again but usually I have to restart.

for the squad to get out you just have to count as being landed, which is having a velocity under 3 m/s (11 km/h) and be less than 1 meter away from the ground.

as long as that is true they should dismount. if you can supply more information i can take a look at the problem.

also if you write a bug report please let me know what param options you had. if you set the maximum distance to an LZ very low for example that can cause problems if there simply is no acceptable LZ within the distance.
