Maybe a compatibility issue with one of your mods.
Works fine for me.
They are both shooting 380 meters for me.
dont forget following: only because the units in the game can shoot up to 75/210/150 meters doesnt mean that they hit with the first shot. They are extremely inaccurate. Take manual control of an unit and take a look yourself how many shots you need till they hit the enemy infantry. Most "long range mods" for GOH go even further than my ranges.
Every gun/small arm has its own file in this game. There are around 600 files you would have to take a look at.
Around 2/3 of the guns in the game are connected to an universal range file, the other are special cases which can shoot further or are more accurate than the average e.g. 20mm. You would have to set up, that this guns won´t take the values from the universal range file, but from there own file. This would be the only way, to get a german 37mm shoots further than for example an russian. But you first have to know which gun belongs to which fraction, since they are all in the same folder.
About the Spotting/Viewing range you can´t have any difference between german and russian, so the russian AI will still spot you, but won´t be able to shoot that far.
And keep in mind that if you capture russian equipment, it won´t magically shoot further by that, they will still have the reduced ranges and be pretty useless.
ce mod est-il compatible avec CODEX ?(hotmod68,west81) ?
Is this mod working even on multiplayer games?
I uploaded a version where machine guns and snipers have 5 meters more range. Wont go any higher than that.
I deleted earlier post to write in this one so I see that performance is lower with this mod so can I do something to have vanilla perfomance but with long ranges ? because there were two versions now I see the other version is gone
like 20hp points since it would fit perfectly to realism?
Oh I am sorry, I recently made a special version of my mod for somebody who asked for even longer ranges, I uploaded the wrong folder. Now it is back to the normal values.
@Wild Beret
View ranges is, how far you troops can spot the enemy
@GhostlyBlu
you could try switching you loading order, so the first person mod gets loaded after my mod
(so my mod doesnt overwrite its changes, but will very likely revert the ranges of small arms bach to vanilla)
@Kiki
wont work that greate with mace (some units from it wont have increased ranges, some will)
to may create an Hardcore version of this mod in like 1 shot 1 kill? it's a bit
odd when u can spray 300 Rounds of ammunition at a range around 250m but ur enemy (AI)
just tanks 40 Shots
@WIll Smith: Yes this mod doesnt work with any First Person mods, since the file that I have to edit inorder to increase the wepon ranges of rifels,mg,smg,... also gets edited by First Person mods.
@Hawk1078 Should work fine with newest version, am playing for hours now and havnt seen any problems.
