Is this worth updating/fixing? I personally never used this as experience was fine by base game for long time in my opinion.

We'll just say from looking at the wiki to all of the people who are here it appears that this mod is somewhat unnecessary now from the fact that Admirals do get experience from ships destroyed disengaged and space battles. About the major difference I can see from this mod and the wiki is the fact that this mod originally before it most likely broke gave experience as well from fleets destroyed and planetary bombardment. Space game kinda fixes it's a little bit if they're an army general from them also getting experience from stuff there but kind of not as important. Either way if someone ever wants to revive this mod then those are the only things you need to add.

Some how my version was changed to 3.6, despite the fact i was playing with the 3.9 version earlier this year.

Alright finally this is the last of these mods I have finally subbed them all. Hope these all run good if they are as good as planetary cannons I am in for a fun game. Also joined the discord because feels kinda dumb not to at this point

@UncleYar - Looking through the mod's files, the mod gives admirals more experience for fleet combat and piracy suppression than Stellaris would on it's own. Using this mod, I am able to get my admirals to higher levels with time spent in combat, but not in such a manner that it feels unbalanced and too easy a task. This would be a personal preference that not all may share.

According to the wiki, Admirals already gain XP for battles, and ships destroyed or disengaged on either side. So it sounds like this mod might need to be revised to only add XP for planetary bombardment.

@JackGlitch101 try deleting this entire folder from your PC: Steam\SteamApps\workshop\content\281990 and verify Stellaris game files via steam.. this is a steam workshop problem that just happens once in a while. (this is redownloading all mods)

when i try and use this mod it says "This mod is missing the descriptor file. Please contact the author of this mod"

something cool would be to give admerals 'tactics' which can be deployed in a fight, which are gained via experience. for example, an admaral may have the 'tactical jump' tactic allowing them to jump to another location within a system, and other things like this would buff admirals and give another incentive to use your best admirals on the front lines.

@Jack_Hazardous you get +1 Experience every day they are in combat and +0.1 Experience every day they are suppressing piracy. (thats what its saying on the wiki)
